some thoughts after several days of work

Why don’t you present some positive and constructive solutions.

He’s a hypocrite. I actually like Peters posts. He’s somewhat trying, and sometimes says interesting stuff.

The backlash is his hypocrisy.

He misrepresents.

He makes it sound like he got nothing out of working at Walmart.

He put food on the table, acquired a valuable property, had his medical issues addressed.

That’s not nothing.

Is questioning the legitimacy of a statement an attack?

You didn’t even pose a question. You pointed out facts.

To nihilists, everything is an attack, everyone is victimized, nothing is good enough.

K: …my little two bedroom condo is worth over a million bucks.

K: and?

make some connection…

beside the fact that the housing market in this area is insane…
where a one bedroom shack could sell for over a million bucks
and where in my little city, the average, the AVERAGE house sale is
1.7 million dollars… that has nothing to do with me…
so make your point…

PH: Capitalism hasn’t been that bad for you.

You’re a millionaire.

You could sell your condo tomorrow, move to Costa Rica, buy a mansion and live like a king for the rest of your life.
[/quote]
K: and once again, your post and even my wealth doesn’t negate the fact that capitalism,
as an economic system has been a disaster for every man, women and child on planet Earth…
that it may have made me a “millionaire” is completely irrelevant to the thread…
should I suddenly announce that because capitalism made me a “paper millionaire”
I am completely in favor of capitalism? no, of course not… capitalism has failed,
even if it did increase my own personal wealth because I am not the planet earth…
I am just one person whose wealth was accidentally increased… It has nothing to
do with the failure in capitalism…the fact of the matter is, I did nothing to merit
that wealth…the thread is not how did Kropotkin prosper, the thread is about
the myriad failures of capitalism… Kropotkin’s “wealth”
is completely irrelevant to the thread…

Kropotkin

Stop writing like you are one paycheck away from living on the street in a cardboard box.

Stop pretending that you didn’t get anything out of the capitalist economic system.

And stop constantly listing “the myriad failures of capitalism”.

You already have hundreds of posts like that.

Try putting forth something positive and constructive.

K: and you missed the point…my own personal success or failure for that matter is
Irrelevant…what does matter is the fact, fact that billions of people have some
food, water, shelter scarcity… … that is the point… not if Kropotkin is successful
or not… that doesn’t matter… I am looking at the picture that is larger then
just whether I was successful or not… because that doesn’t matter… the larger
picture of human beings as a whole, the entire planet earth… that is what matters…
not Kropotkin… I am not so vain as to think the world revolves around me or
my bank account… it doesn’t…I am thinking of everyone, including you and ec
and observe and UR… we are all, all of us, trapped into a system that
actively uses us (as human being) to be cannon fodder…

I am sorry you can’t overcome your small and narrow thinking

Kropotkin

K: thank you derley… I am simple attempting to wake people up to the reality of
today’s existence…and many, in fact most people have no desire to be
waken from their dream world… I am glad you can see my point…
at one person awake… now about 8 billion to go…

Kropotkin

K: in fact, we are two paychecks from being on the street… in that way, we are better
off then most people… I list the failures of the capitalistic system because of people
like you who cannot see what a failure capitalism is… I write to wake you up…to
the reality of existence… and then once we begin to see, then and only then
can we begin to work out something like a “positive” system but until enough
people see the truth… we cannot begin to progress… the first step, is always
becoming aware of reality… and you are clearly not there…so I will continue to
post as I have done for hundreds of post… to wake you up to the reality that
our economic system has failed… once there, we can make the next step…
but you have to wake up first… have you waken up to the current reality?

NO, the answer is clearly no…

Kropotkin

Peter…

You’re not awake.

You’re expanding Your compassion … but you’re not awake.

Awakened people don’t marry or have sex (among other things)

I’ve lived under communism, socialism and capitalism. (Although let’s face it, there is no pure laissez-faire capitalism anywhere.)

I don’t need you to wake me up.

K: if you can’t tell the difference between one’s individual wealth, and a society/the state
failure of capitalism, I beg to differ… but surprising enough, you are not the only person on
ILP… and that is part of your own failure… to note that there are others besides
yourself… try to think of others before yourself…

Kropotkin

You were addressing me directly.

Now you pretend that you were talking to the audience??

Kropotkin doesn’t approve of videos - but if he did, I have a feeling he would post something like the attached:

facebook.com/SustainableHum … 1967899429

You think socialism is sustainable? Communism?

Sustainability requires a complete redo of existing political, economic and social systems.

and at this point, I return to an old point and try to connect it to this thread…

two points, first the battle in becoming human, fully human lies in how we
become autonomous, authentic people… to become fully human means
we must, at first anyway, reject the current path of the route of least resistance…
which is to simply follow society/the state in mindless conformity to its banality
of existence…by that I mean, each of us in our daily lives, working and going to school,
still feel compelled to obey, follow the path of least resistance by being who society,
the state demands of us… by being workers and consumers and producers…
to fulfil our roles of human beings by becoming slaves to the capitalistic system…
we can find and in fact, part of my argument is, that we can find existence
to be far more useful if we reject the role that society/the state puts us in…
to be workers, consumers, producers is the role society/the state demands
of its citizens…I reject this…

we can become human beings and in fact the only true way to become
an autonomous and authentic human being is to reject the current
political and economic systems that are currently in place…
to reject democracy and to reject communism and to reject
catholicism and all the other ism’s and ideologies that populate
the world today… we must find our own path into the future…

and that path means we must walk away from our current ism’s and
ideologies…we must become Autonomous, authentic people by engaging
with the world in political and economic systems that reflect who we are,
not as society or the state demands of us…my path to becoming doesn’t
lie in me being a consumer, a workers or a producer… those paths are meant
to contain and hold us into certain fixed positions of living…we cannot
grow and become who we in an economic system that demands that
we can only be a worker, consumer or a producer…as our current
economic and political systems demand…

I am calling for us to crave new path, to follow a new economic
and political system that allow us to become autonomous and authentic…

but what systems will allow us to be that?
and that is the question we must answer, not just me or just you,
but all of us together… and that is the point… we must first understand
that we are now and haven’t been, in a system, political or economic,
that allows us to become autonomous and authentic…

the goal isn’t to make our political and economic systems the greatest in
the world but to use our political and economic systems to discover what
it means to be human and to become who we are, autonomous and authentic
human beings…

but Kropotkin, what does becoming an Authentic and Autonomous being mean?

that is the question we must answer together… all of us…

Kropotkin

K: I am always, always addressing an audience… you are just the means to
make that address… it isn’t about the 10 or 12 people who post on this site, but
the hundreds who wonder in and out without ever posting… I address them as well…

I know you believe that you are the only person on planet earth, but
I hold that we are part of the human race, all 8 billion of us and even more,
we are part of all living beings… animal, plants, fish, and even the entire earth…
the earth itself does perform the functions of existence… it has every sign
of existence, of life itself…for the earth itself is life…

organisms: are open systems that maintain homeostasis, are compose of cells,
have a life cycle, undergo metabolism, can grow, adapt to its environment,
respond to stimuli, reproduce and evolve… I hold that the earth does all of that…
and thus can be called life…I don’t engage with the little pictures of life…
I look at life from the viewpoint of an eagle… I have removed my nose from
the grindstone and I have looked up… maybe try the same?

Kropotkin

What an ego you have. :laughing-lettersrofl:

You have to give the guy credit Phyllo…

He is TRYING to expand his compassion.

Sure, he’s going to trip a lot on the way over his own hypocrisy…

But he’s trying.

I’d give him a D+ for skill and an A for effort.

Compassion?

Half the time he posts hateful criticisms of conservatives, republicans or capitalists.

He’s more divisive than anything.
