Some time management and self-control tips?

Sometimes there are no solutions in life.

The only solution would be to accept that there are no solutions.

Scale down your expectations and just hope you’ll get a piece of bread next day in the morning.

Yeah, That’s true!

You gave me good advice, I sincerely thank you.

Actually, yes.
Chores like that are not very demanding on the intellect, but they do require a certain amount of planning, visual acuity and skill. Once you’ve mastered the basics, the only challenge is to do a task the most efficient way you can. I have developed a strategy and method that’s uniquely mine. Then, it becomes a largely physical enterprise, which can be enjoyable for its own sake: you’re outside, smelling grass, hearing birds, sweating, receiving the odd mosquito bite. When you stop for a rubdown and a cold drink … Well, I wouldn’t trade that sensation for a day at the most expensive spa. Meanwhile, when you’re doing mundane chores, your mind is free to philosophize, compose music, invent a warp-drive, figure out how to repay what you embezzled, or whatever you like to think about. And, of course, there is the satisfaction of doing something worthwhile, the security of knowing your nose won’t freeze off in your sleep next January, the anticipation of many evenings of entertainment, games and conversation next to a warm stove.

Everything can be interesting… but you’ve got to be there for it! You’ve got to pay attention, instead of fretting about what you may be missing. Believe me, you’re missing plenty! And you couldn’t have most of it, no matter how discontented you are with what you have. A job is what you do that other people need done, in return for money to buy stuff you need. While a job - any job - can be made more interesting and rewarding if you pay attention, it’s rarely as engaging as what you do for yourself. Chores a way of improving what you have: they’re empowering.

I’ve never had to make decisions like this because I use one of these.

My entire life has been decided by what the ball has instructed me to do. I’ve never made a decision about anything without using the ball. The one I have now I’ve had for twenty seven years. The one before that got broken. I don’t know how many decisions I make in a day so do the math. My entire life determined by the arbitrary motions of a small six sided object with text on it, floating around inside a ball of fluid.

Well before I click submit let me ask the ball. Hold on.

It’s a go.
