You can replace the missing keys with ones that are rarely if ever used . Have had to do that myself. Or go to a pawn or thrift store and get a new board for a few bucks. You might need to find a driver for it or just use the keys as spares.

If it’s an egonomic keyboard he probably can’t just replace one key with another since they are different shapes.
Another option is to use copy and paste - at least for the space bar. Just Ctrl^V each time you need to do a space after copying one - would make it a lot more readable at least. Or just keep your keyboard more safe.
Most probably he is working towards some imaginative analogy for losing “god” in his life.

Flathead or phillips? Depending on the size of a phillips it will work, darn near any flat head will work. You just need to pry up the key gently then place it where you need it. Heck a butter or steak knife will work. Just pry one side then the other in gentle short increments.

Are you suggesting I pull off some keys and set them somewhere as bate? I assure you I wouldn’t use a knife, in fact I think it’s more likely a prank than anything…
