A humble translation of Urdu’s great poet, Faiz:
speak, your lips are free to speak
speak, your tongue is still yours
slender you are and standing straight
speak, your life is still yours
look, the steel furnaces of that empire
are emitting high flames and red iron
their iron locks are beginning to break
and their chains cant be tighten anymore
speak, these monents are enough to say
before the death of your speech and existance
speak, the truth is still alive
speak…say, whatever you have to say
