Green mother,
Pregnant with tiny flowers,
Spews her fertile core
Through living tubes
Into her infant sprouts.
Green babies
Rise and grow to flaunt
That certainty she bled
Through them --for
Their final separation.

I’ve had a spider plant and its offspring since 2005. Its juices still flow!
A perfect bright-green plant for a dark shady corner…
the plant that keeps on giving, by way of propagating
itself… my Spathiphyllum (peace Lily) does likewise…
a beautiful flowering houseplant.
