Spiritual truth

Where did spiritual truth come from, originally?

One idea is that aliens passed down higher knowledge to humanity, which was mostly lost long ago. Maybe they were not aliens but more evolved species from earth which later left for higher purposes. It seems foreign to a normal man to be able to accurately sense a truth of the soul, the vital force, or how it all works in the big picture. I think humans right now are generally numb and crazy. I don’t mean that as an insult, and I wish I could help. Likewise I’m pretty numb and crazy myself. This means spiritual truth is very hard to get for me. I have to trust the ancients, for probably my whole life.

It’s a matter of introspection, IMHO. The ancients looked inside themselves for answers to questions about life; we moderns have forgotten how to do that. We cannot seem to understand that the spiritual truths are within us. And few among us will undergo the necessary self-examinations that get to spiritual truths.

I agree ier…the spiritual truths are within us…we are having trouble reexamining in the light of present day life with all its changes in technology…as Einstein said-----our technology has advanced more than our humanity…

“The kingdom is within.”–Jesus

“Another vague, pretentious phrase used to impress shallow tools into thinking they possess some sort of a special insight” – Artist of bullshit (officially known as a spiritual person). So deep man.

Why do you persist in dumping you loads in a religious forum?

3sum-----who is the person you are closet to right now…

Since all the other people do it, I might as well, or do you think my poo smells exceptionally bad?

Can you define what a spiritual truth is and give an example?

Beside myself? In a literal, physical sense or in an emotional sense?

there shouldn’t be any question…it is you…where are you coming from with this anger…

I’m not angry… scornful, perhaps. It’s fun making fun of bullshit.

thanks

 Well, it is good to clarify things, but why would the little reptile (turtle) even care who it was you were standing/sitting beside at this moment?
You would describe it “in an emotional sense”? Couldn’t we be closest to someone whom we love without it being an “emotional” experience though usually it is when we take the time to let it flow through us.

To me a spiritual truth is a deeper truth about morality, reality, and the core of things such as our self and life.

Great, we’ve started defining things, we may even get somewhere in a Religion and Spirituality subforum! That would surely be a pleasant surprise.

Now if you could please define “deeper”(as I’m sure you don’t mean physically deeper) and “spiritual” (as many people use many different definitions I just want to be sure we’re on the same page).

Can we find this spiritual truth as far down as is the abyss or is it only one which is to make us happy/content/peaceful?
