So, is the government being effected by Stockholm Syndrome?

In a democracy, there is a frightening tyranny of a majority, and it seems rather abusive to the well being of governments that they have to be held hostage to the whims and changing whims of a electorate.

Is government being abused and cowered to the point of ineffectiveness? Is it being prevented from spending it’s money as it seems fit, buying what it wants, or playing or hanging out with the friends it desires?

It seems we have a rather abusive relation to it, were always cussing it out, demanding it cut spending here, increase it there. We say it’s too big and has to reduce its size, threaten to stop funding or even feed it unless it does it’s chores. Always embroiled in a scandal.It’s pure mental abuse.

Is there a way to break government of its belief that the people are predominantly good, and that it has a responsibility to stay with us?

I’ve noticed other governments have broken free, like under Nero, and began to live a separate life and seek after self-actualization, it’s greater good, and not the selfish greater good of the people.

In Stockholm Syndrome a bank robber is merely an armed force of power. What else does that sound like? A government.

Then we have the captivated bank employees forced to do whatever the bank robbers tell them to where over a period of time bonding with their captors forge a relationship with them. Geez, now where else have I seen that before?

What is a state? A captivated state of existence why of course.

No, the government is not governed by the people, or whiny activists. A couple of politicians are. Occassionally things get done if it benefits them, for instance arming cops with camera’s benefits the law and government. But by and large the government is not obedient to the people.

A political audience or following is particularly interesting as it is in its most basic definition with all the illusions removed a population bonding with its captors.
