Stupidity has volume

IMO, stupidity has volume and a limited supply. :astonished:

If irrationality is completely vented and exhausted, the rational mind can think at an utomost clarity for a while.

This is relative to other forms of repressed human nature, example:
If a person was very sexually aroused, they could not think clearly antil they vented that volume of psycological attribute.

If you’d like to test my theory: go completely & shamelessly insane for however long you can stand, antil you’re utterly sick of stupidity – and then within the aftermath of such a phase, you may find yourself more rationally clear/capable.

“but these go to eleven.”

Has it ever worked for you?

From this board I’d say its finite but unbounded and also constantly expanding

Irrationality is actually a natural, reactive instinct, like sexual arousal.
Each behaves in the same way.
Irrationality can be fueled & vented.

Or it could be like a muscle, getting bigger and more powerful and more bulgey the more you use it. Conversely, your rationality muscle gets weaker if you exercise your irrationality muscle to the exclusion of your rationality muscle.

I ask again, since you seem to have missed it: does it work for you?

I never get tired of my own stupidity. It is constantly new, refreshing, and unexpected.

Sometimes it turns up in the most unexpected places.

Comrade aporia,

Suppose that you logically & rationally knew that sexually transmitted diseases existed and humanity was over-populating the earth… & you were really horny at the same time.

Each time a feeling goes against a long-term understanding – One of them is basically “stupid”.

Repressing stupidity is not the answer. IMO release of it, and understanding of it are the answer. “Stupidity” & irrationality should be delt with in the same fashion as anger is delt with.

Hopefully I’ve clerified myself.

(‘’)

I know what you mean!

Dan, when you went on to say that we have to let loose our irrationality and stuff, I couldn’t help but remember those musical samples you offered some time ago. Cloon cheeser and polio max, I think they were called. Those were hilarious, really, especially the one featuring belching as a special sound effect. I usually don’t laugh by my self, in my intimacy, but those got me on the ground.

Now, I realise that you probably worked and toiled on them for some time, thus involving a great deal of rationality, but for the occasional listener they seem just so incredibly mad, as like wanting to prove your point.

You are, indeed, the perfect incarnation of your theory…

That was coherent madness.
