Chimps can’t swim, like at all, and chimps are documented jumping in and drowning to ‘save’ another chimp. Whether the chimp realizes it or not, thats effectively suicide.
Reasoned suicide is unique to our species because reason is unique to our species. Seriously, the world doesn’t bend to your nonsensical ignorant delusions, stop insiting that it does.
It has nothing to do with absurdity and misery, but the fact that say, we can have this fucking conversation and animals can’t. Jesus Christ you’re annoying, consistantly insisting to ignore everything but your own narrowly focused beliefs.
I see. This unique reason you seem obssessed with which you believe makes us special creates suicides and other forms of misery for millions of people yearly around the globe but since I mention such a subject specifically on a internet thread I’m somehow annoying for doing so.
No, you’re annoying for constantly running you’re mouth without ever knowing wtf you’re talking about.
Yes humans experience depression/suicide above animals, we’re also capable of self-awareness/theory of others CONSISTANTLY. I’ll take self-awareness over ignorant bliss, i never suspected you’d choose self-awareness if you could. I’ll take knowing i’m alive and that other people walk around with thoughts/intentions like mine, opposed to avoiding ‘depression’ and remaining an unthinking machine.
Yeah, you don’t have to be perfect to stop making continously nonsensical irrelevant incoherent arguements/conclusions that you force down the rest of our throats as truth without any compelling reason to believe it. No, i’ll contradict you every chance I get, infact I rather enjoy it.
Reasoned suicide, meaning sitting down and saying “Yeah, I think I should just end it now.” is unique to humans. Other animals will refuse to eat because they are sad and no longer care to live or die, but they do not commit active suicide so much as passive suicide.
