I came to a random bridge one night in the middle of winter in Milwaukee, WI in the year of 2008. The temperature outside was sixteen degrees.
Three older men were warming themselves by a fire out of a metal trash can with wood, matches, and lighter fluid.
What struck me was the gentleman named Fred. Fred had a scar on his eye and was missing three of his fingers.
I asked him about his eye and his three missing fingers to which he replied back to me that the previous year before on a night very similar under that same very bridge the temperature was thirty below where frost bite took his fingers and nearly his eye.
Fred was living under that bridge collecting a low retirement and could barely afford the expensive monthly medication just to keep himself alive which is why he lived under that bridge.
You do at least comprehend the notion of “cannot comprehend”, right?
Dubiously assuming that you can … “loved” by very significant people who just happen to not currently be in the position to resolve the problem (much) … for you nor the very, very many others … Shit Happens … even to the best.
Yeah, humanity loves itself so much that it sits idly by in complete indifference, contempt, and apathy when many of its members suffers daily through tyranny, enslavement, servitude, inequality, and so on.
And why should more people taken an active stance against it when they’re too busy focusing on their own lives, careers, family households, and self interests?
The successful people of course are just too busy to give a flying fuck and don’t want to risk themselves to anything assuming they care at all.
Yes, the love and compassion of all humanity towards itself is just so readily observant everywhere…
Think about a bunch of people in a boat that gets turned over in a raging river. You’re one of them, and you see your loved one there struggling to swim away from danger, and you try for a moment to swim toward them and help them, but then a fear of your own death overcomes you and a sense of hopelessness follows and then you’re crippled and unable to do anything but save yourself. It doesn’t make you evil, or indifferent and it doesn’t mean that you don’t care about the other person. It just means that the world is fucked up and we all die somehow, and no matter how well we may be able to envision a perfect world where things are the right way…actually making it that way, no matter what way that is, is impossible. So you just have to do what you can do and die when it’s your time and you can’t go crying over spilled milk, and sometimes people are going to starve, drown, be denied justice, and all sorts of other things even if everyone in the world tried as hard as they could for that not to be the case.
You are merely an individual person, you have NO right to be concerned over yourself. Suck it up and die when you are supposed to, you pathetic ass-wipe.
On the other hand:
You have more than enough time to be dead.
Perhaps consider doing all that you can imagine possible while you still have this brief moment to try.
I don’t want to change the world. That’s never going to happen
I just like exposing and shedding light on the inherent cruelty of humanity exhibiting its sinister underbelly.
I enjoy destroying the fragile delusions and deceptions of this world watching the blank stares of bewildered people when they find out everything they believe in is a lie.
You are able bodied, you can work and feed yourself now, take a moment to think of the most vulnerable.
I recall a time I came upon a woman with a small child, maybe two years old. It was a cold night and the baby was scantily clothed. This woman approached me with a sad luck story, she had no home, her boyfriend had kicked her out. The baby was obviously hungry and cold, so I drove them to a store and bought some diapers, food and a warm jacket for the child. I told the staff if she comes in to refund the clothing, don’t give it to her. I could see in her eyes this child was not going to profit from this. She insisted on staying outside the store, saying she was expecting a friend to pick up her. As I drove away I will never forget the way the baby grabbed the biscuit I gave him, he was so hungary, weak and quiet, he could not even cry.
If it makes you feel any better, they were probably picked up by CPS, and there are thousands of starving kids in Africa that noone cares about that have it way worse.
