I am medicine student , today I received email from one person that “can use telepathy”.
Is it possible that telepathy works on the distance of few kilometer, correct and all the time?
I can not find any official document on any existing person today that can use telepathy
but I found Vinko Rajic and Uri Geller and they are talking that they can use telepathy.
Why they do not make research on it? Many Schizophrenic are coming with similar story.
Can it be that some Schizophrenics are just receiving from some other head?
James Randi offer 1000000$ for evidence, but Vinko and Uri can use telepathy or maybe NOT?
There is not scientific evidence for telepathy. Why this telepathy madness?
At Edinburgh University, experts conducted controlled experiments to see if telepathy is possible.
Vinko maybe can give evidence for it but why they do not make an experiment with Vinko or Uri Geller?
Why are Schneider’s symptoms of the first rank for Schizophrenia exact the same as Vinko’s telepathy?
Is CIA’s remove viewing project just a bluff because telepath’s like Vinko can never find out who actually
is sending to them , also receiver or sender can never localize each other.
I think it is in interests of science and human kind to make some really research on Vinko and Uri.
The old joke is that a person who is psychic should prove it by winning the lottery. Apart from that, what we consider telepathy may simply be communication by means other than rational thought. Most animals communicate via pheromones (scents). Humans do so to a larger extent than we are willing to admit. Studies have proved this is the case.
The Randy/Geller exchanges are media circus, not valid proof of anything. I’ve personally had experiences that might be considered telepathic–thinking of a person, then getting a phone call from that person, knowing what a person is going to say next and finding that my Mom seemed to know, over a vast geographical divide, when I was in trouble. These examples should point to a need for research into what mind is and does. Dr. Rhine’s experiments of the past century were inconclusive. We know so little about what our minds are really capable of doing. As a med student, you are probably into verification by case studies that include controls. Try to think outside that box. Verification could simply amount to recognition of common experiences.
Precognition is different than remote viewing (although they share many similarities.) We could maybe speculate that the CIA’s remote viewing program was all a hoax if there weren’t a multitude of documents presenting the efficacy. It seems that the most logical assumption is that these abilities exist; the fact that no one has ‘won’ the prize isn’t really a scientific approach. I have it on good authority that cash prize is rigged.
I was just reading Prometheus Rising and RAW talks about skeptics who are content to dismiss everything as a giant coincidence (it’s pretty funny/insightful, actually); cases like Mary of Mary of Medjugorje accentuate how this can become ridiculous/irrational—but that aside, if someone wants to label something as a giant coincidence I don’t see it mattering. If you can ‘get lucky’ with your guesses consistently, you’re functionally psychic anyways. In this way, ‘skeptics’ who are uncomfortable looking at the truth can remain in their zone while still recognizing the legitimacy in a manner of speaking.
So, remote viewing is possible. Maybe by consistent luck, or maybe by theoretical means inherent in things like Bell’s Theorem.
Most people think of human beings and really everything that is matter and has mass in the world…as being individual and separate from one another. Closed off, shut in, alienated. You can’t know what I think and I can’t know what you think.
However the truth of things at the quantum level is much different. There is no skull getting in the way between your mind and my own, everything is porous. Everything you do and think is an action and invariably that action has an effect which ripples through the universe.
There is a lot of visual and auditory distraction and also there may not be an ability inherent within all humans to achieve this level of perception.
Remember…we only use a small portion of our brains.
EDIT: I should rephrase that. We are experiencing telepathy at all times, unavoidably. However, separating and sorting this information cannot be done easily. Especially in the modern world. I’m sure though, that you’ve experienced at least the feeling of deja vu once or twice or maybe you even felt the ‘presence of God’. Tapping into the stream of consciousness can be done through intense meditation. Whether or not someone like myself (or yourself), will ever be ever to attain that of that level of concentration…that is the real question.
The weird thing is, if you press most people, they will admit that—pretty much everyone.
Then they turn around and say ‘Well, I don’t believe in telepathy because no one won the cash prize.’
It’s interesting the reasoning exhibited in situations like that, or another close facsimile, when people say things like "Well, if [this] was true, it would be on the news.’ It’s basically no reasoning at all; just a childish assumption lol. It’s amazing the hold the talking heads have over people. Or money.
Thanks, OG, for the further consideration of what I was trying to say. Winning the lottery, etc, expresses the popular cry for logical proof in situations that may have little to do with logic.
But are we talking signification or telepathy? Calling a bluff based on an observable tick and probability is not the same as quoting someone’s precise thought process, word for word, as they think it.
There was a group who purported that true telepathy requires uninhibited honesty, having literally nothing to hide, being open to everything…I forget who though.
Aided, or unaided by external technology/mind altering substances? To clarify, are we stipulating to engage in telepathy using only what is contained within or own heads, without adding any extras? For instance, a “lie-detector” could be classified as “telepathic” so long as external technology is permitted and I sometimes think I’m capable of telepathically communicating with the entire universe when I eat a certain something.
Dogon tribe in Africa, they knew about the Dog Star “the dark companion”, long before modern science discoverd it with telescopes.
death apperances, there has been many stories about peoople dying appearing to loved ones or family members.
It could be related to Quantum Entanglement, maybe also study how FM waves can travel long distances, over obstacles etc. Tachions in Quantum Theory can travel faster than light, but also passe through all solid matter with ease.
In real life: depressed, then happy+drugged…then detoxed, now re-invigorated. 3 years ago it seemed to me ILovePhilosophy.com was becoming somewhat cliche, the breeding ground for brooding. Of course I’m not talking about everyone. I just started posting again on ILoveOpinions for the first time in a year and then all of a sudden, it looked like it was going to be up for auction. Looks like its back on track now for now though…hahaha…
I really don’t think that telepathy is something that is so shrouded in mystery that we cannot come to a conclusion here. Are there not already several well documented cases? Now you may have your doubts regarding particular incidents…but when you realize that physical science is on the brink of explaining all of this…why doubt it? We are all experiencing something beyond the: what you see is what you get. All of this is occurring as a direct consequence of the laws of psychics as they tie into consciousness.
