According to police investigators a few local ‘terrorist’ teenagers/early 20 somethings have been arrested due to alleged plans to create and detonate a bomb using some (3 tons) of ammonium nitrate (fertilizer) in the southern Ontario area. To quote the police ‘They posed a real and serious threat’. Reporters asked numerous times about specific targets but to no avail.
Do I doubt there is some validity to this arrest? No… not really, it seems that with that much ammonium nitrate they were up to something but as they investigation states, this is ‘an ongoing process’.
So a little inconclusive, but watch how the be-all and end-all catch phrase TERRORISM devours this event and pushes along whatever bullshit Iranesque agenda Harper and Bush have ordered for them.
I’m sitting here… and all I’m hearing is Muslim Afghanistan talk. These were LOCALS. This has nothing to do with ‘terror camps’ overseas.
SO TRUE! the fact is that people are gretting pissed off at the governement, but its no new phenomena… Terrorism wasent a front line topic in canada for a long time but we have suffered some terrorist attacks thorughout our history by left wing groups, religious groups, natives… alot of things like that… It is my opinion that the media is blowing this attempted terrorist act out of proportion, feeding off people’s fears and hate for all things middle east… and why? ratings!!! ahhh good ol ratings…if one looks at the media as a buisness motives are easy to spot
