So many people imagine “the press” like it’s a single monolithic institution with a unified viewpoint. That’s where the real delusion is. i fail to understand how anyone with a functional internet connection and/or a working television could possibly think of the media that way - unless of course they, like the president, have something to gain by portraying the media as one side of an us-versus-them cultural war. But then, nowadays, most people who think of the media that way actually DO have something to gain from it - namely, the security guarantee of never having to accept anything the media reports as true (unless it confirms what they already want to believe). This is the origin of the “fake news” rallying cry so popular among the U.S. Toddler-in-Chief’s legions of braindead disciples - it goes like this: Trump says X, a bunch of media outlets point out that he is lying, and the idiots who support him shout “fake news”, then turn eagerly back to their dear leader with their mouths wide open, waiting anxiously for the next spoonful of shit he’s about to feed them. Repeat ad infinitum.

To the OP: i fear that the free press, no matter how successful it is at uncovering the truth, won’t be able to save us from Trump or the fools who support him. In the internet age, facts are powerless against willful ignorance.

Anybody that criticises how all the media or journalist institutions is controlled by three corporations saying there is no free press within the United States are anti semitic.

I am so tired of listening or hearing these anti semitic defamations everywhere.

For them when they equate corporate media monopolies what they’re really saying is a Jewish monopoly on news media institutions, that is entirely anti semitic! I will not tolerate such blatant hate speech!

The American media is all about freedom of speech and free press, all of our institutions are respectful bastions of independent thought and journalistic integrity. I really don’t understand where all these lies, criticisms, or forms of hate speech comes from. It all sounds like a bunch of racist, xenophobic, anti semitic, and radically conservative fake news to me.

We must all be eternally vigilant against all the radical fake news out there. I think CNN, MSNBC, Facebook, and Twitter have the right idea concerning the censorship of fake news away from radical extremist groups where I look forward to this being pushed on all media platforms.

Those organizations in my opinion are completely legitimate along with the Washington and Huffington Post.

There is a Judeo Christian disease and Infection in america. I have yet to determine the extent of the role of the jews. I know for a fact that whites are also to blame. Therefore the depth of the zionist conspiracy is irrelevant, since I know for a fact white people are also to blame. Therefore the jews are a side issue, since whites cannot be trusted, whites already infected by the disease, therefore the depth of involvement of the jews is somewhat irrelevant.

Some say 90% of american politicians and media are ran by jews…I don’t know if its true or not. I know for a fact though that Fake news is fake news…so I don’t know what to believe, what I believe is that there is a deep evil going on in america, its not just trump, but democrats as well… American is collapsing and both democrats and republicans are to blame…

Your exposure to propaganda and the popular hate the media stance is telling here, you assume, let me make it clear, assume that these incorrect reports are nefarious and with malicious intent or so. Don’t assume that the media is perfect and hold them to a perfect standard then throw the baby out with the bath water. What’s real is the media is getting us the news and will correct as needed, otherwise someone will be sure to scoop them if there’s a falsehood reported. The industry and free market of the press works itself out that way. Not fake news though, not the bullshit you’re reading.
