How on earth that rip off Star Wars ever got to be more popular is anyones guess.
Star Trek, at least the old version with Denny Crane, tackled philosophy and ethics in every show. It was awesome.

Light Sabres.
So gay. Nothing could beat “Set phazers to stun” That is like a global saying now.
A light sabre could…
Luke is a pussy. He never got anything done on his own. He’s like a Jason Figure where he’s credited with much without really doing anything on his own. Anakin on the other hand did everything on his own. The Jedi Council was just holding him back.
I liked Picard over Shatner, btw. I guess English accents go along way towards creating an aura of authority.
Piccard all the way Only watched TNG, great show! Yeh I generally find the Star Wars buzz quite tedious but I thoroughly enjoyed the Clone Wars animated series’, the animated film was a bag of shite, Disney channel Star Wars
they should have well had Tartakovsky doing the film. Damn Lucas the prick.
Scotty - “The engines have fallen off the side of the ship and you want warp drive when?”

All the Star Treks are great. The characters and the choices of actors to play the characters were done very well compared to Star Wars. Star Wars can’t hold a candle to Roddenberry. Han Solo was the best out of all the Star Wars characters.
Cool thread!
Star Trek Deep Space 9 and Star Trek Voyager, all the way, Baby - they are the best, in my opinion: the Borg, species 8472, The Jem’Hadar, the Hirogen.
Resistance is futile… ya know ya wanna…
I’m definitely a red shirt
…are ya now?
Does that still hold true when you’re naked?
:-"
Those shows were terrible. It totally got away from what made the original so good. It turned into a series for dorks.
That’s a matter of opinion, ain’t it? I grew up watching the orignal Star Trek, but much prefer the spin-offs to it - isn’t choice a beautiful thing/one should move with current times, or get left behind like road-kill…
They all enjoyable, but The Next Generation and the original were definitely more thoughtful.
