In this thread I would like to dispell the myth that people are born naturally “good” or “moral” by showing pictures and reported violent tendencies found in children all over the world.
Opinions and thoughts are welcomed.
We all have the capacity to do good or evil and we must deal with the consequences of our actions. Evil and good is a choice not two distinct forces.
That sounds very religious. No offence but I am looking for a philosophical debate.
What are you talking about Joker? How is Demtri’s post religious? How do a bunch of pictures of kids with guns make any kind of a philosophical argument?
Religion separates spiritual from physical, holy from evil, heaven from earth, life from death. If you do good, and ask forgiveness for your sins, you’ll be allowed into heaven for all eternity… therefore dualistic - you want out of sinful creation.
I am saying the exact opposite. Life is polarity- constructive/destructive, good/evil, night/day, female/male. It isn’t religious it is about choice and consequence of those choices because you are responsible for your own actions. It is not determined by some force, birth or your nature.
When I am done posting child soldier pictures I plan on then posting links where children have murdered people apart from the act of war.
The intentions of this thread is to show that no innate “morality” or “goodness” exists in any individual.
Demtri came to this thread with religious diatribe which I have no patience for being that I am a darwinist atheist.

Valuation is religious diatribe?
God doesn’t exist. There is no purpose to life beyond physical necessity.
Your religious beliefs are absurd and meaningless.
When you die you will become dirt like the rest of us where worms will feast upon our dead corpses.
There is no heaven, salvation, redemption, universal condemnation or damnation beyond the land of make believe.
There is no divine plan or power looking after you.
Value is historically a religious expirience. 
Value owes it existence historically to the collective hysterias of the religious. 
Your superficial suppression of valuation is transparent. You make value judgements every instant of your life.

Towards myself maybe…but valuations on objects and ideals are historically religious nonetheless.
I welcome other people’s philosophical beliefs but you must understand that I look at religion with contempt and I perceive it to be utterly useless where only the delusional embrace it.
I welcome you to express your beliefs but if you should keep pronouncing your religious beliefs I would suggest you be ready to defend them.
What do you mean “on objects”? And you have plenty of ideals. You talk about them here all the time. Thus, to you they represent “good”.
Religious valuations are always metaphysical.
I on the otherhand deny all metaphysics entirely perceiving value only on a biological or survival level.
I have to ask. If construction and destruction are not a choice, what are they? If morality is not a choice, even to the point of what is moral, then what is it? If killing is not a choice, how is it done?
They are all choices. Can’t disagree with you there.
The moralist however is the only one in this cosmos declaring one motive to be inherently “good” over another while declaring the opposite “evil”.
Such a stance is what we call religious absurdity from a evolutional basis.
