For various reasons, the Essay Contest that was started a couple years ago was never completed. The submissions were never judged, the prize was never awarded. At this point, the contest cannot be fairly resolved, because the submission deadline was not enforced and some of the the judges are no longer available.
Since we invited submissions to the contest on the premise that there would be a prize, and that prize was never given because the contest was never completed, it would be both unethical and legally questionable to keep them without permission. As such, the forum and all the threads it contains will be deleted, no sooner than March 24, 2012. If this is the only place where the work is stored, please copy the work before that time. Alternatively, if you’d like your work to remain here, contact me and we can figure out a forum where it will fit and move it there as a normal thread.
Thanks for your understanding and your participation, it’s unfortunate that the contest was never resolved.
