No emperor, no empire.
Do any of you bow or kneel before the president? There is your answer.
No emperor, no empire.
Do any of you bow or kneel before the president? There is your answer.
Well⦠thereās this.

Itās a pretty damn interesting story, Iām suprised theyāve never made a movie about it.
Or if they have Iāve never heard of it.
Until the entire nation of the United States kneels, bows, and bends before an undisputed Emperor, we have no Empire, and thatās final.
Now who is worthy of such respect? You? Fortunately for the world, such a position requires immense power and wisdom of which weāve not seen in our lifetimes.
The last Emperors worth writing about lived in Germany, the Holy Roman Empire, and the Imperial Japan. In fact, the Japanese Emperor still lives.
Nobility breeds nobility. A person must have a noble lineage in order to fulfill such cultural and royal positions.
An Emperorā¦not to mention a King, must portray capacity for Value Creation. We do not have any Value Creators yet. Maybe by the next century we will.
Rome wasnāt built in a day. Neither will be The American Empire. It requires much sacrifice, sweat, blood, tears to build such a dream, and see this into reality.

To hell with noble ābirthā if we ever have an Emperor he should be an ruler by Merit.
Go on.

In truth though thatās the exception, as the rest of the world refer to the United States and its citizans as America and Americans respectively.
As I said we couldāve been name āColumbiaā

But then.

What do you expect? You think were going to refer to ourselves as āUnited Statseinsā ?
Thatās idiotic!..in my humble opinion.
Whatās your suggestions my fellow Americans? (yes that includes to you Pezer)
Hell I just start another thread on it.
This is a lovely tribute to a man who tried to bring his sense into a senseless, for him, world. Iām also surprised Hollywood didnāt glomb onto it.
I was just browsing some southern nationalist/secessionist website that annoyed me, and it reminded me of this thread as someone referred to the U.S. as the āYankee Empireā and reffered to the south as though it were a subjugated soveirgn nation.
Anyway they did bring something up that I had thought before, Americaās westword expansion could certainly be seen as empire building along with our war with mexico and the aquisition of territories that make up our southern border.
āTheyā of course portrayed this in a negative light, I didnāt. But it did get me thinking, with the change in population size an technology, what differentiates an extremely large nation state from an Empire?
I mean the U.S. isnāt exactly homongenous and we have a Federal not Unitary organization. Couldnāt we be considered a Federalist Empire, sort of in the fashion British imperialists envisioned before ther empire waned?http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imperial_Federation
I would imagine that one thing that differantiated it was that it was combined with a large amount of āNativeā (European American) settlement, rather than simply conquest of the Indian populace and land.
Another reason could be with what realitive quickness and ease it was conquered, though conflict with american indians was present sense at leat the 1600ās in the Englsh colonies, with the Declaration of our nation ins 1776 the rest of what is today the U.S. was fully āconqueredā from them and mexico by at least the early 1900ās.
Is there one?
If so what constitutes an empire, or more specifically what actions has the U.S.A taken that make it one?
Do you see this as a negative (which seems to be the popular posistion) or a positive thing?

Yeah I really didnāt see a big connection of what was said with the title.
Also i often see people constantly overstating imperialism by declaring every interventionist action as āimperialismā.
Also the discussion was very general.
āDo you think u.s. involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan angers Arabs?ā
āYes.ā Thats basically all that was said along with peoples disallusionment with our democratic system and how the u.s. doesnāt always support democracy.
Nothing much about the āAmerican Empireā falling.
Empire of Lies, strikes s backā¦

Zey can only be victims.
Have you seen women slap men and when they are slapped back, start crying and calling for the police, accusing the man of misogyny?
They whip you and cry out in painā¦

People change, countries change, the planet changes⦠these declarative comparative mouthpieces arenāt helpful, for any country trying to move forward.
Who was the recent-past benefiting, that some want to cling onto so tightly⦠those whom it benefited, made them rich, and turned them into the āelitesā of course - release that grip, release the country from its overburdened stresses and strifes in having to fund the elitesā costly global levelling-up agenda and terror-groups around the world who keep the planet in a constant state of civil wars and global unrest.
Any country that does not have a US base on it is considered an enemy to Americaā¦,ā¦
Are there any Americans on this site?
I watched the semi doco of Whitney Houston in it she sang at the Super Bowl in 1991 and the spectators were genuinely filled with emotion when they sang the Star Spangled Banner.
Is this fierce pride still as strong or has Trump disillusioned some of you?
Are you not aware of the lengthy history of American wars and military interventions and invasions and coups and murders all around the world?
American Pride died decades ago on the political left (communist-inspired demoralization efforts, propaganda and sharp rise in gene mutations). It is still alive and strong in the political right. But I suspect part of the Trump psyop is to weaken it on the right as much as possible.
