The Christian Tragedy

Presumably you are referring to “what do you think Jesus said is required of an individual to receive the Spirit of Truth?”. Note that the question is about what @Bob thinks. So Jesus does not provide an answer to that question in John 3. Plus you likely don’t understand who is saying what to whom in John 3.

Jesus is speaking to Nicodemus in John 3 explaining to him that he needed to born again of the spirit to enter heaven…….To be separated from binary in other words…..all of the physical being binary.

It couldn’t be any clearer WeSee…you don’t have to believe what Jesus said to Nicodemus obviously…that is your choice…God doesn’t force anyone to accept his ways….if they think they no better he leaves them to it.

Are you unable to make a distinction between what Bob thinks and what you think?

It’s not about what Bob thinks or what I think ….its about what God says WeSee.

God answers the question in John 3 as to how Nicodemus/WeSee/Bob and Myself gets to heaven.You don’t have to believe what Jesus said to Nicodemus WeSee……..God has given us all the freedom of choice to believe it or not.

If God has decided that he isn’t going to save us then there is nothing that we can do because it’s only by his grace that any of us are saved.

I believe Jesus. It is you that I don’t believe.

Like I said earlier, “you likely don’t understand who is saying what to whom in John 3”.

You don’t believe Jesus WeSee…we know that because we know that you are going to be presenting your filthy rags good works to him as a down payment for your sins……Jesus isn’t interested in our filthy rag good work imperfections ……he gives us all a clear warning of this in Matthew 7:22-23

You don’t know Jesus at all and your certainly haven’t been born again of the spirit because you accept false teachings.Nicodemus also believed that filthy rag good works was what God required.

Jesus explained the correct path to heaven to Nicodemus.

If you want to get into heaven by your own efforts then you will have needed to have kept the laws of God (The 10 Commandments) perfectly throughout your life WeSee and that is an impossibility so you are wasting your time trying and wasting your time with your filthy rag good works to try and make amends for your sins.The laws of God were given to show the individual that it was impossible for them to keep them perfectly themselves.The sole purpose of the laws of God was to point the individual to Christ who was sinless to pay the price for all of their sins.

God will not accept any other sacrifice.God only accepts a perfect sacrifice and only Jesus was able to offer that perfect sacrifice to save his people.

Now that’s pure love.

These are things that YOU believe. I don’t believe YOU.

As I say…..I believe Jesus …you don’t ….so you haven’t the first clue what being born agin of the spirit means…l do…because I understand the philosophy and science as well which confirms it.

Your choice WeSee…..if you want to accept false teachings then that’s up to you…it’s not as if you haven’t been warned …so you will be without excuse.

There is no Christian tragedy….there are only individual tragedies

Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

Evildoers includes everyone who commits sin.

I feel sorry for you WeSee….You don’t know the correct path at all.You have misunderstood the gospels completely.

We all commit sin and can’t save ourselves WeSee …not by any means at all.

You can’t save yourself…you can’t contribute anything to your salvation.…..you are totally reliant upon God doing it all for you.

Your pastors have totally failed you.

Like I keep telling you, I don’t believe you.

Who are you to speak for God? For Jesus? To prophesy in His name? “A good tree cannot bear bad fruit”. Sin is bad fruit.

The bible is clear….the teachings of Jesus are clear WeSee…it’s got nothing to do with me……Nowhere in the bible does it say that your filthy rags good works will be sufficient down payment to get you into heaven…Nowhere.That has just been dream’t up by your pastors.

The bible is totally clear that Christ needs to take the full punishment for the sins of the whole world.It says so in 1 John 2:2.No individual can contribute a single thing to it….so you have believed false teachings.

As you have believed false teachings you have no idea whatsoever of what being born again of the spirit means.

John 5

28“Do not marvel at this; for an hour is coming, in which all who are in the tombs shall hear His voice, 29and shall come forth; those who did the good deeds to a resurrection of life, those who committed the evil deeds to a resurrection of judgment

You need to be born again of the spirit to do good deeds WeSee…You can’t do good deeds until you are born again of the spirit and to be born again of the spirit you have to have believed that Christ died for all of your sins…You are doing good deeds in your own strength having not believed that Christ died for all your sins, believing that this will be good enough….it won’t ….Christ tells you this clearly in Matthew 7:21-23

“You cannot serve two masters. You will love one and hate the other”. Those who commit sin are serving Satan.

John 8

34Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is the slave of sin.

31Jesus therefore was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, “If you abide in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; 32and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

35“And the slave does not remain in the house forever; the son does remain forever. 36“If therefore the Son shall make you free, you shall be free indeed

The bible is totally clear WeSee…Jesus Christ died for the sins of the whole world…that’s it, Jesus Christ did it all…nothing can be contributed to it…no filthy rags goods works…nothing…only Christs perfect works are acceptable to God as an atoning sacrifice to avert his wrath.

So you have to accept that Christ died for all your sins and there is absolutely nothing at all that that you can contribute to it…If you genuinely believe this and are genuine before God then by God’s good grace he grants you spiritual life to enable you to do good works.

Isaiah 1

16“Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean;

Remove the evil of your deeds from My sight.

Stop doing evil,

17Learn to do good;

Seek justice,

Rebuke the oppressor,

Obtain justice for the orphan,

Plead for the widow’s case.

18“Come now, and let us debate your case,”

Says the LORD,

“Though your sins are as scarlet,

They shall become as white as snow;

Though they are red like crimson,

They shall be like wool

I don’t disagree with any of that.

I disagree on the point of salvation…the individual cannot do any good works until they are born again of the spirit and they cannot be born again of the spirit until they do the will of God in accepting that Jesus died for all their sins and all the sins of the who world and accept that no other additional works can be added to the salvation works of Jesus.Any works carried out prior to being born again of the spirit with the intention of trying to earn salvation are the works of the wicked who believe that they can contribute to the salvation works of Jesus with their filthy rags imperfect works which is nowhere mentioned in the bible and is false teaching.

@Bob

Have you abandoned our discussion? Or are you having a think?

Bob won’t be able to help you WeSee ..he hasn’t got a clue about any of this stuff….he only engages if you agree with his idealogy…He’s not interested in learning about new ideas.
