I agree that evil men may have sons, and that does not make the men less evil. However, the nature of the action is critical in this case: if simply being a nuclear scientist is what puts a target on a person, which apparently is the case in Iran since five (5) of them have been assassinated since 2010 (the accused are Israel, the US and the UK), then are we to conclude that any scientist in any country who works with nuclear energy, or in other areas which can be turned into weapons (chemical warfare, aeronautics) is fair game for assassination by other nations with whom they have strained diplomatic relations? That’s insane. I find no indication that Dr. Roshan was an evil man, quite the opposite. He’d just dropped his son off at kindergarten when the assassination occurred. So his assassination was strictly because of his profession, and we have created an absurd international standard of injustice.
Dr. Roshan is only one of thousands of tragic, unnecessary deaths that occur in our world daily, but every one of the victims has a face, and every one of them counts, just as Dr. Roshan and his son count.
<will2010 could you be any more of a fucking cliche?
It’s none of your fucking business as someone (like MELONKALI) don’t give me straight answer when I ask about action of Human VS God.
<o one blames God or nature for Tragedies? What? Have you been living under a rock?
Don’t try to pretend like a smartass (you fucking idiot!!!) just because whatever I said must have offended your naïve unquestioned faith! No, I didn’t live under a Rock. I live in a big famous city! Due to whatever (musical) talent I have, everywhere I go, people worship me as God. By the way, my main writing is for those who can rationally examine the reality, not those who have easily offended because of whatever faith you hold!
<The case could be made that death itself isn’t neccessarily bad, but killing can be.
Not true, if you ever study the “real” history. Just study or google “eugenics” and tell me how eugenicist think of 99% of humans on the planet! Also, don’t forget to tell me why God/nature killing millions of people is “RIGHT” where as human killing other human for getting more resources is “WRONG”.
Back down wil, keep it civil or your words are worthless and I don’t want to see that. You have valid points, make valid debates, don’t get your buttons pushed by a pro at button pushing, be better.
Gods get blamed or credited the way parents are. As I said the enemy is ourselves.
<MELONKALI wrote - is [fair] game for assassination by other nations with whom they have strained diplomatic relations?
Ohhhhhhhh, you are helplessly naïve. You still haven’t realized the truth that there is no fairness in this world? That’s so pathetic!
By the way, make sure to share your thought of why God killing countless people is “RIGHT” but when human kill other human is “WRONG”!!!
You would be “less sad” if the natural disaster (God) killed your family whereas if it was done by a human? Why? Loss is loss, isn’t it? By the way, after the natural disaster wiping our your entire family, do you still honor, cherish and love God??? I am very curious!
To me, you morning over the death of this particular scientist is nothing but to show your egotism which I feel very disgusted. You are so sad about this guy because perhaps he is as same ethnicity as you. But do you realize, on our planet, 17,000 babies are dying out of malnutrition. Have you thought (or try to feel the pain) of each mother who mourns like crazy every day? No you don’t care (or not in you radar) because they are not the same race as you are, right? That conclusively proves that no matter how moral and noble we tend to project to the world, we (humans) are nothing but “selfish, greedy, untrustworthy lying hypocritical basters”. According to the Black’s Law dictionary, humans are nothing but “Sea Monsters”, which I totally agree! We are ruthless clever “animals” which was the reason we became the predator on this planet.
Posting on public forum makes it anyones business.
Would rather be a smartass than a dumbass.
Oh boy…
Congratulations I live out in the boonies.
Congratulations.
I was never offended by anything you said, I just disagreed with it.
Whats “real” history?
Oh i doubt it’s 99%…90% tops, that is their profession though, it’s not always about forced sterlization and euthenasia though. Their lots of Injections and Sex involved too
I never argued that clear cut Dichotomy, I’m no pacifist, I believe in the rightousness of a good execution or war. Just saying that if God exists as described and their is a heaven as described then God killing people isn’t realy that bad of a thing, or if the universe is mindless as the physicalists seem to claim then theirs no agency meaning deaths caused by nature couldn’t be either good or bad, or perhaps they are and simply unintentional.
I may not be as naive as you assume – I’m over 60 years old, and I’ve seen a lot in this world. I still haven’t seen anything which makes unjust killing right. And it takes a LOT for me to approve any killing as just, a LOT.
Did I say that God killing people is right? I don’t believe that God kills people; the God I believe in is a God of love who weeps with us, and would stop the dying if He could. If He had the power to stop the suffering and dying, but, for whatever reason, chose not to, He would not be my God. I’d punch Him in the nose and find a better God.
Tragedy does seem to hurt more when there is clear maliciousness behind it. I don’t know why, loss is always agonizing, but when there is intentional malevolence behind it, or intentional negligence, for some reason, it hurts more. I’d have to analyze the why’s.
If my showing Dr. Roshan’s photo smacks of egotism, then that is my fault to bear; it reflects nothing about Dr. Roshan or any of the thousands of victims of injustice who suffer and die every day in this world. I apologize, and would feel very badly, if my efforts to bring victims of injustice to public attention were having a counterproductive effect; I’d stop my actions immediately if I had evidence that were true.
Although it should not matter whether or not Dr. Roshan and I share a similar ethnicity, since that idea seems an important point to you, I will tell you that we are genetically polar opposites. I would be proud to have some of those ancient Iranian genes in my dna, but it’s not possible.
I selected Dr. Roshan’s picture because Israel, with U.S. help, has assassinated 5 Iranian scientists since 2010, and I find that not only egregious, but one of the few world atrocities about which I might have a tiny voice. I, and people like me, sent that picture, along with our expressed outrage, over and over to our representatives, the White House, etc, during the Iran nuke crisis. I’d like to think that maybe one person somewhere heard one of us – or at least was convinced we’d plaster that px all over the US if that’s what it took to discourage our government from launching bombs at Iran.
If you are indeed a celebrity, you have the means to influence people. Please make good use of those opportunities, as best you are able and as your own conscience dictates. I’ve posted the following vid here before, but maybe it’s time to do so again. I think we’re on the same side. rebecca
