The thrill of judgment:
One of advanced intelligence can look down upon a simple one. He can feel as if he was able to out wit the other. Perhaps that he knew that he could out wit the other. I ask him this:
How often do you outwit your own DNA? And what did he gain when he outwitted the simple one? He gained this: “I am greater then one who I already knew i was greater then. I proved it because I did not trust truth.â€. And this is the unnecessary thrill of judgment.
The stupidest men say: “I am the wisestâ€. The wisest men say: “I am nothing and wish to somehow, in even a small way, become more for the sake of the future and life itself.â€.
When you say “I have wonâ€, more often then not, you have already lost very much, because you had to play the game in order to win. You were subject to and were within it, instead of being above and beyond it. The greater question is: For what sake would you rather feel nothing at all?
From my own texts.
How did what I said here and now effect you?
(edit:
Is this sort of “thrill of judgement” rooted in the metaphysics of conflict and agression?)
