I used the term ‘the good life’ in another post, on another thread. I began to think what this really means. My idea of the ‘good life’ will not necessarily be the same as someone else’s and I cannot prove that what I think is right, I can only think many may agree with me.
Let me give you an example of one person’s idea of this.
I was having dinner with people I know/ knew. We were eating a beautifully presented meal, accompanied by fine wines, in a very swish restaurant. One of the people, suddenly raised a glass and said “I wonder what the poor people are doing tonight” and everyone laughed. Cheers.

That was that person’s idea of a good life, no doubt many here would object.
Others who lay claim to their intelligence may say knowledge is the ‘good life’.
Yeah… people do that at weddings too. cheers we’re helping cause war and suicide and destroy the species yeah The good life is about how you use your desire or your craving, craving is not the same thing as action… what this is obviously, is a sadistic ritual. People are very sadistic. I’m sorry you had to participate in this ceremony.
