Wow, thats very beautiful. I’d trade the beach for that anyday.
Yeah, the heath (Hampstead Heath) is pretty awesome Mr Kebop and in truth I wouldn’t cope with London without it, it is a sort of fuel. However, I’m not sure I could trade the beaches of Cape Town for the heath, Ok, I have traded South Africa’s beauty for England’s but…I mean Cape Town??? I’m sure it’s the most beautiful place on earth. I mean you can take the girl out of Africa but you can’t take Africa out of the girl.

Kinda hooked on the Heath myself. I wish you would post some of your photos in my Geography thread.
I really like the first one. I think daffodils might be my favorite flowers.
cheers,
gemty
Beautiful pics. Both the heath and the beach.
(Love the bench).
Ahh yes, thats a beach.
This is a beach where I live.
Siesta Key in Sarasota, FL
This beach is one of the top ten most beautiful beaches in the nation.
I think thats what the problem is.
Goddamn tourists…
Wow. Wonderful photos LA. – particularly the first ones. The smell they exude is quite overwhelming — so rich.
Breathe in… breathe out… ahhhhh
Re beaches: the smaller ones are my favourite. (tourist free zones )
LA, that first beach photo is particularly beautiful. It must get quite a pounding looking at how smooth those rocks are?
.
Miss Bess, I might post a pic or two in that thread…in fact over here in my garden in the spring time, first the daffodils flower, they don’t seem to mind the icey cold, and when the daffodils are done, the irises are sure to follow and then you know it’s spring…and all outside my kitchen window.
Gemtry, for you, this one was taken in my back garden.
Yes rainey, that bench…I would imagine that you would be sitting there in the heart of the heath writing your poetry. That thought delights me no end.
Ah yes Mr Kebop, those bloody tourists… Infact, this one is just around the bend from where the penguins live. It’s the best kept secret, there are never any people on it when I go down there. But shhhhh…
Exactly!
Tell me where that beach is km, it reminds me of the South China Sea, although it looks more like a lagoon.
And yes, that first beach, that’s Africa, it’s can be harsh, the sea is freezing on this side, although not as freezing as the other more touristy side, but they don’t swim, they just bronze their beautiful bodies…it gets pretty windy in the Cape at times, but the great thing about a peninsula is that when it’s windy on one side, the weather will be perfect on the other side. Always an adventure.

It’s a local harbour beach LA. There’s dozens like this in the harbour and waterways.
If you’re feeling a bit down, there’s nothing like packing a little lunch, a good book and some writing material, jumping on a boat (or water taxi) and being left alone for the day on a little beach.
(Just don’t forget the phone if you’re on a beach by yourself… or you’ll be stranded )
…and don’t forget your camera!

Dude thats crazy, I just graduated from Saint Stephen’s this year, I know everyone in that town! Used to eat lunch at that Shake Pit on Manatee avenue, went to the public beach on the weekends.
Man I got into a lot of trouble in that town too…
Heh, do you smoke? Cause if you do I bet we know a few of the same people.
Speaking of beaches…sorry couldn’t resist, I’m a bit homesick of late, it’s even in my dreams…it’s that blue blue bluest of blue not just the ocean but the sky. And those are not tourists, they’re surfers.

And those are not tourists, they’re surfers.
Only ones that should be allowed…and cool people
