We have an adversarial system that works best when the prosecutor advocates that a defendant is guilty, and the defense lawyer advocates that the defendant is not guilty. This is like when the prosecutor in the Ferguson Missouri case went to the grand jury and failed to indict a cop who shot an unarmed kid in the middle of the street.
