So, why did God allow the holocaust?
You’d think millions of jews dieing out would matter to Him.
The Jews were one of the first monotheists that claimed their
God was ultimate. The bible tells stories of miracles and power
from the lord. But when it’s time to make some solutions,
God is nowhere to be found. He helps Frank find his lost
keys with a prayer. Yay for that, but people are dieing
and being tortured. There is important God-stuff that
is not being handled.
My Jehovah’s Witness friend Clayton believes 100%
that God will step in before it’s too late.
I told him it is already too late.
We needed divine help long ago.

Jewish history is completely ripe with God apparently forsaking them. It’s one travesty after another. And it hasn’t gone unnoticed by them, their perpetual misfortune has actively shaped their theology.
One of the things that annoys the hell out of me is just how Jewish the Jehovah’s witnesses are. They believe that the old testament is a perfect book from a perfect god.
Which is absurd, because modern biblical study has pretty much proven that the book of Daniel is full of fake prophecies to give it legitimacy. So the book can’t be entirely perfect…
I can’t speak for Jews (unless they’re also Christians, and because Christianity began in Judaism), but prosperity gospel is unbiblical. Nothing in the Bible (law & prophets, & poets…overlapping magisteria) promises easy or comfortable. It promises trouble. It says to expect to be hated sojourners, though loving enemies.
But he does not leave himself without witness.

It’s not a particular study, it’s the field of study. The field of modern biblical study considers it more or less settled that the authorship of the book of Daniel happened in 2nd ish century BC, while the book itself claims to be from 6th ish century BC and gives “prophesies” which just coincidentally turned out to be both the most specific prophesies in the Bible , any true!
Because it’s easier to prophecy of something that already happened, of course.
I can’t do it justice myself, I’m no biblical scholar, but it’s a fascinating topic you should read about. When was the book of Daniel written?
You will of course find arguments that it’s genuinely from the 6th century, and they may even be good arguments, but that’s not the general expert opinion of biblical scholars today
To think all of the promises have been fulfilled (full preterism) seems hard to believe when you consider the Holocaust, how the pandemic was handled, etc, etc, etc, and what’s coming (as promised) if we don’t do an about face.
The Holocaust has become the political justification for Israel to continue its persecution of the Palestinians, and for the Western powers to look the other way when it comes to acknowledging the horrors of partition, invasion, and occupation.
It’s now always about the Jews that died and what is forgotten is the slavs, gypsies, gays, lesbians, socialists, and trans people that were also exterminated.
We also forget the psychology of Russia whose loss of 22+million people has had a lasting effect on how they see threats from the west.
Most of the Central European Jews became atheists and atheistic during and after the Holocaust, and then became political radicals after mass emigrating to the United States, where they vowed to never again ‘allow’ White males to control mass media against them, hence why “Anti-Semite” is thrown around loosely today. Most of these emigrants, their grandchildren and great-grandchildren have proliferated throughout US Journalism schools and education systems, which is why they thoroughly control and manipulate “Legacy Media”, most cable news and information channels, Facebook, buying-out Google, etc. They are still scared and primarily motivated by the “Next Hitler”, which I believe is a self-fulfilling prophesy. They are their own worst enemy.
Israel has a right to defend herself. Seeing as she has been preserved throughout history despite her many faults, and despite her many enemies, I pity the foo who tests that.
Some ethnic/racial groups are intrinsically tied to their Homeland / Motherland / Fatherland, while others, are not. You just used Japanese as an example of a group who is, fundamentally, loyal and attached to their Ancestral homeland.
So why are some ethnic / racial / tribal groups loyal, and others are not? Go on, make your case.
The Japanese internment camps happened on US soil. You’re saying citizens of Israel should be confined to the land of Israel. I’m saying the land of Israel has a right to defend herself.
