I think I have an explanation for whole caboodle!
Heard about the sheep who learnt to parachute roll across cattle grids? Very soon after unassociated flocks picked up the trick…Ever walked towards a group of people who made you feel threatened? What did you feel? What did you do as you neared and passed by? Brace yourself? Firm your head? Tighten your stomach? Hang your head and hope? Did the group try to intimidate or scare you? Did they try and get a rise out of you? Why?..and what’s a rise? That person you fancy, what is it that makes you dither in their presence? Why do people crave attention? What’s fame and power all about? There’s a gunman in your home and you’re hiding in the cupboard…you are doing more than holding your breath…you are trying not to be there…the gunman tries to sense you…
So what’s all this about? In short the transfer of energy and the lengths you may or may not go to to win your battles. You may run and re-run scenarios in your mind till you get over something, or you may be more direct. When you do your teeth in the morning this is to improve your chances of passing on your genes, and /or supporting your gene carriers, ie. your kids. So to get the girl/man or to take home the bacon you need to win your battles…and to do this you need to be chosen by others. Chosen by the employer, the potential partner, the electorate, the buyer etc. And to be chosen you must be attractive, not necessarily physically, in a more charismatic way…(there’s one-what’s charisma…one of my first questions to myself, as a teenager…)…you need ‘stuff’…energy!..(Bear in mind as you read this that gravity cannot be explained yet except in terms of it’s effect.) The drama of life unfolds around the quest for this energy. It’s kind of the bleeding obvious…but never described. Only hinted at and suggested at in the best of art and films.
There is a continual non verbal, sub-textual, energetic dialogue, through which the pecking order is established.
Professor Rupert Sheldrake, sheldrake.org/homepage.html, has proposed the theory of Morphic Fields, and Morphic Resonance. I lean heavily on this to understand the world the way I do…to make sense of my feelings. The human morphic fields, I think, works on different scales, ie. a global field, a national field, a local field, and most noticeable a field for your friends and family…one inside the other…like those Russian dolls.
The morphic field is what we pick up with our spiritual sense and is what has been called god.
R.S. says the field is massless, it works instantaneously, regardless of distance, it carries information.
He is designing and carrying out many experiments to gather his data, and has written several books.
So, that’ll do for starters I guess. I could go on, it touches everything. I’ve been mulling this over for years and years. Then I discovered R.S. I felt a little bit like Darwin might’ve had he come across DNA.
