the late movie

i caught you laughing and dancing,
in a black-and-white romance.
so young -
you were something,
really something,
laughing and dancing…
long legs,
long hair,
long ago.
and i paused and watched awhile,
and grew sad
knowing you had no way of knowing,
as you laughed,
and you danced,
in this black-and-white romance,
that over sixty years have passed.

Another good un, rainey. I think you’re onto something with the mood of your poems.

thanks, CS!

I think this poem is beautiful, I really liked it. Would have liked it more however, if it was written in black type though, but that’s just me, heh. It’s the whole black and white romance that got me feeling that way, usually I’m a fan of color - though, somehow, for some reason, color and poetry . . . I don’t know, just more anoying than anything I think. I want to see the expressed images, not so much the concrete poem. Eh, you all got your opinions though, and I got mine, ;/

done!

(seemed a simple enough request…)

Yes, this I like. Tragic.

thanks, Boss, very much.
