Emotions are Little Visitors
they come as they will
leave as they will
and rarely stay long
They are also constant companions
yet we only notice them
when they come close
We only feel them
when they visit us
The Little Visitors are messengers
although they do not speak
They cannot speak
as they were born
long before words were made
Primordial beings
they are fiercely dedicated
They will not rest
will not yield
will not sway from their course
until we receive their message
Sometimes
they come too close
stand right upon us
they suffocate us
We must address them
ask them take one step back
And even though they cannot speak
they understand
We can never banish them
or summon them as we will
Their own tasks guide their movements
Ignore the Little Visitors
they insist all the more
to make their deliveries
Take a moment to welcome them
allow them to share their influence
trust them
As we accept them
and understand them
they find peace
and so do we
