There is a tempting response to this…but…
yeah, I often dislike it too.
Oddly, I would say the slang ‘chill’ bothers me more.
It has the same root but is often an order.

I don’t see cool as annoying it’s ubiquitious on every culture on the planet.
Bieber I think is the most annoying word ever, followed by random when used in the wrong context, and cunt. I hope you see what I did there with the antichrist that is Bieber and that choice of words.

For me the most annoying word of 2012 was “thingy”.
I just moved to Northern England in August and they say it for EVERYTHING!
“Did you put the thingy in the thingy?”
“Bro…I don’t know what the fuck you’re saying.”
