Nature itself doesn’t interest me a much as people do. What I want to see about Cape Town, or any other town, in a hundred pictures: the mountains and the sea would only be at most in ten of them; the rest I want to see normal people. Women. Black, white, brown. Black/white, black/brown, black/white/brown. Women baking on the glittering beach with nothing on, girls in bikinies paddling along shallow billows, while the horizon remains blue - jazzy blue… I want to see a South African Rivera.
Sorry to disappoint you Uniqor, I am simply awestruck. Awestruck!

That beach must be getting trillians for the government each year, will they be boxed up in white or black? The sand is glittering gold, install a few Brazilian bikinie sun-bakers out there, we’ll have a gold rush even in winters, when we can put them in one of those houses.
The rocky heath is probably very much to Nietzsche the hiker’s taste, so that’s where I’ll go visit. I’ll probably ask Nelson for trip expenses and use the chance to spead Nietzschean anti-racism in South Africa.

i just realized Cape Town was the basis for the HDR demo map Half Life 2: Lost Coast.
The film industry is big in Cape Town. A lot of foreign films are shot there, a lot of commercials. It’s cheap in terms of film making and the light is always good. Also it only rains in winter so you are guaranteed sunshine and blue skies (almost) everyday.
