The most important thing in spiritual development

I happen to believe that the most important things are these:

*Morality and goodness in general.

*The good souls, which are moral, but their expression of their goodness is only capable when they have evolutive speed and power.

*Upgrading the soul and the chief vehicle of the soul, which is the psychic energy body, upgrading through development of it, or also bringing it into contact with allies.

The secular world is bankrupt with obsession over mundane forces and sciences.
The religious world is bankrupt with obsession over authority and tradition.
Only a tiny speck of people consciously develop their soul and its chief vehicle.
I only got here through luck. I did not earn it through good deeds, nor did I receive it as punishment for bad deeds.
The entire world is a passing away, self consuming.

I suspect that the “most important things” begin with a desire to understand, followed by a faith that understanding can be sufficiently achieved, followed by understanding itself.

Desire is conflict, and conflict is desire.
Without motivational force, there is no movement towards understanding.
Also, understanding is information, it requires hardware, software, and evolution.
This is why I mention evolutive speed and power.
These are the bases of information, which through conflict, produces understanding,
but conflict in this case means interaction, both violent and non-violent as-well-as anything in between.

[edit]

it seems you have added faith to your equation.
Faith again is a form of information which required an evolutive force to create it.

How do we find such people?
How do we identify them?
What example do they give us?
How do they lead?

Buddha did something similar to development of the soul’s vehicle. He was an imperfect man, according to me, but he tried to enhance the spiritual culture he had been born into. I consider buddhism more of a body-art than a soul-art when you apply it. It does effect the soul, but some don’t even believe in souls, and meditations on the breath are very brain and body oriented. The body does contain spirit, but, buddhists do not advocate magic.

I am not sure yet if it is fate or luck, but some people are meant to be magicians, while others aren’t.
Then there are the in-between, the half magicians, which are like a deformed magician. There are many of those online.

Also I would like to note that not everyone has the same chief vehicle, and in some cases it is based in an entirely different dimension than another.

Different teachers work best for different students.
Some people find value and understand differently than others.
As such, each person also has different requirements and has a different optimal configuration.

I feel I am one of those deformed magicians. I’m divided between worlds and purposes which are incompatible. My body is not so great. But I do have a few special qualities. It is important to find your main strengths spiritually then use them.

Oh look, another spiritual genius that thinks the entire world is corrupt except for a tiny minority of awakened souls that just happens to include him. Boooooooriiiiing.

I am sorry Dan tilde, but I am not able to relate to your explanation.
This is a fault on me as a reader and not you as a writer.
It would be great If you want to explain it in a different way, if not then that is also great.

James,

The order you mentioned is perfect as things use to happen in the same way.

But, still i feel that the very first ladder is missing and that is observation or awareness to the surroundings.

it is observation that leads to the desire to understand and carries forth.

Everyone uses to see falling apple from the tree but not all think of gravitation. Newton did.
Everyone uses to bath in the bathtub not all think of displacement. Archimedes did.
Everyone uses to see old and dead but not all think of going beyond it. Buddha did.

with love,
sanjay

You obviously misunderstood what I said.
Straw man.

As a deformed magician, I have allot of work to do to try to make little bits of progress. This will probably require multiple life times of effort. I have been lucky enough to meet a few people online in the passed which were either less deformed, or not deformed at all. I try to not feel jealous, but some people have made huge amounts of progress before their birth, or in other cases, they had psychic parents or psychism in the family. These things I don’t have. Neither genetic nor pre-birth gifts of any notable heights. Despite this I know that magic is real and important.

Sure. Add me to the list including everybody else who posted in this thread.

Maybe you have watched star wars. Those movies. Do you remember them?
starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Midi-chlorian

That is allot like the process of spirit, but there is even spirit in inorganic materials.
Besides these materials there are materials and such in other realms too.
These smallest alive particles are the chief vehicle of the soul.
Because of this and many other reasons, they are very important.

“another spiritual genius that thinks the entire world is corrupt except for a tiny minority of awakened souls that just happens to include him”

I’m not a spiritual genius, when compared to some other people.
But even the wisest genius on earth is not very smart compared to something like a certain type of alien or a higher angel too.
Those are just examples. Humanity has a long way to go.

The entire world isn’t corrupt, also. Minorities are corruption-free, yes, but this doesn’t mean the corruption is enough to control of overpower a common person. Sometimes their biggest enemy is their self.

I’m not an awakened soul. Especially my body is still stuck in the dormant state.

The majority of my understanding comes from understanding and experience which people and a few spirits had, other than myself. I was not the source of this development. It was the spiritually advanced beings which taught me almost everything I know. All I did was metabolize what I received and experienced. But due to things such as the internet, learning is allot easier and also contact with specific people is also easier.

It is possible that spirit is not meant to all flow in the same direction or all to be seperate from the whole. Each spirit does as it does because it is meant to be so.

I see reality as being defined by all at once, both negative and positive as-well-as benign. But to say that everything is as it is because it was meant to be, makes me question this “meant”, in cases such as a murder, or any form of abuse. This is “the problem of evil”. It makes things like pantheism hit a wall.

No, meant as in if you pour a glass of water on the ground the water goes all over in many directions. No meant as in destiny or gods. Natural nature of it.

Skepticism & Sincerity.

Ah, natural ‘necessity’. Thanks for explaining. I believe in some definitions of necessity.

I see. So you're different from all those other spiritual geniuses claiming to be a unique source of enlightened truth, because UNLIKE all of them, you're just a regular guy who was gifted this knowledge by unseen forces, a mere messenger, humble in how you try to share with the world the gift of knowledge that has been gifted to you.

Yes, my bad. That IS unique and interesting.

I’m not a unique source of enlightened truth. I am good at a few things, and other things I’m not good at. I tried to develop what appealed to me the most and seemed easiest or most efficient. Each human born is different and they will thus have their own type of gift. I’m not very gifted. But I do have a little gift. Now I’m trying to use it, but I’m desperate in a way. Life on earth is spiritually harsh.

No I learned from others mainly. These aren’t “unseen forces”. They are people which had experiences. They were empirical, but not ‘scientific’, but truly empirical. They are based on what was perceived and experienced.

I’m not a messenger but I wanted to make a post saying that development of the soul and its chief vehicle is extremely important.

Now that part isn’t a bad thing. Although I don’t aim to share with the whole world. Just with a few. That is all that is usually possible.

I’ll tell you what.
I’m going to amuse you some more, by trying to assess you.
From the little I’ve seen, and from your repeated straw man, I think you have a cognitive deformity.
Now, some Christians already know this is the case, in that we inherited ‘sinful flesh’. They know we have a deformity. They suggest forgiveness, although the apostles were supposed to have healed it as well, besides forgiving it. You, on the other hand, are not trying to guide me like Jesus patiently did, nor are you trying to heal my own deformity, or forgive it. Instead you are trying to be witty and at the same time undermining what important information I wanted to highlight. My dad is a christian himself, and he does have a deformity, but his thinking is based around love of nature. He is much different than you. I think you have this cognitive deformity so bad, that you don’t want the ‘cure’ for it. The ‘cure’ requires so much self change, creativity, happiness, interest, hope, insight, wisdom, good genes, freedom, etc. That it is far far easier to default into a slightly altered traditionalism. Dogmatism interbreeding with skepticism. This is prominent in religious and atheist groups alike. It is one of mankind’s great weaknesses. So what you do, is come in, read what I wrote, or maybe you didn’t even read all of it. I don’t know, I hope you at least read it. Then with little time or effort, you say : oh, dan fits into the category of those boring monists who thinks the truth gravitates purely around their own view. Dan is closed-minded. Read him like a book. Easy. Yep. I’m done. He’s not worth my effort.

But you see, my OP says that morality is good, goodness is good, and good souls need to “evolve” as fast as they can at their core, in the areas where it is possible. There is nothing wrong with saying that. It is completely true. And to anyone who can understand basics, it is obvious to them that this is a basic truth.
