The Philosophy of the superstitious object

An object is said to be superstitious if it is

  1. a material object that behaves in non-material ways, or
  2. a material object that is unlikely to exist, or
  3. it is an impossible object

None of these definitions of the superstitious object can apply to God, angels, fairies, unicorns or square circles.
