the question is, what is more necessary, justice or freedom?
Many argue, around here also, that freedom is a more important
value than justice, but is it?
for me, without justice, the act of equality, freedom means very
little… Freedom lies within justice… Justice must be
present for freedom to be truly free…so let us work out the
two values…
Justice: I have defined Justice as equality, which is to say,
that for justice to be justice, everyone must be treated equally…
legally, economically, socially, and politically…for there to be
justice, it must act equally and fairly on all parties concerned…
if justice is delayed due to wealth or title or name, then that
is justice denied… and how does the act of freedom, the ability
work out one’s own autonomy, fit into this idea of justice?
Freedom: the power or right to act, speak, or think as one
wants without the hindrance or restraint…
for freedom to do its thing, it requires justice to be present…
the equality of speech or actions needs to be present
before the freedom to speak or to act…
So, given a choice, I would fight for justice before I fight
for freedom… but what say you?
