The Resistance Begins

If you do something wrong, and you don’t get notified of your court date because you moved, you’re gonna need to hunt that information down.

The charge was dismissed … so technically, he’d done nothing wrong.

If they were dismissed (according to mom), what was the missed hearing about?

The Trump administration, including prominently Steven Miller, are using the media to project a spectacle of cruelty against political opponents and perceived adversaries. As Journalist Adam Serwer said” Cruelty is the point”. Trump’s marking and hostile comments toward opponents are not incidental, but our defining feature of his political approach. Trump has repeatedly labeled the media as the enemy of the people and fake news seeking to delegitimize, independent journalism and road public trust. The violent attacks on a USsenator and now a comptroller in New York City are a physical realization of his hostility intended to evoke fear and suppress resistance. The ice agents could have accomplished their goals of detainment legally without violence, but they chose violent confrontation instead because it sends the intended repressive message.

The No Kings rallies held nationwide on June 14. served as a large scale protest against the policies and actions of the Trump administration. The protests next showed that millions of Americans are rejecting Trump’s authoritarianism and billionaire first politics during a period of heighten tension surrounding his immigration policies, including increased ICE raids, and legal battles over troop deployments. An estimated 5 million people showed up for the no Kings protests, nationwide. There was little opposition and almost no one showed up to celebrate Trump‘s birthday. His military parade was poorly attended.

Timothy Snyder, University of Toronto history professor said of the No Kings movement, “ I think we’re at a moment where you say we’ve got we’ve got energy. We have creativity. We’ve got some courage and it’s time to think about what to learn from the past and what to do next. What should we learn from what we’ve done as a country in the past and from what other countries have done facing similar challenges is that every circumstance unique. But there are sort of lines that we should be aware of in terms of what works what doesn’t work better. At this point in the evolution of this kind of movement is unpredictable. You can’t predict exactly what it looks like. And unpredictability is actually part of the strategy now.”

Trump’s spproval ratings show that more and people who voted for Trump last time are coming over to the resistance side. Large scale violence against the American people on the part of Trump is a strategy for failure that is being rejected and will lead to his downfall.

A federal judge on Monday ruled that the Trump administration’s canceling of federal health grants over their connections to “gender ideology” and “diversity, equity, and inclusion” was unlawful and void.
U.S. District Court Judge William Young, a Reagan appointee, ruled on Monday that targeting research funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) based on certain topics was unlawful and arbitrary. The federal government has been directed to immediately make the funds available to grant recipients again.

In February, the NIH issued directives terminating grants relating to LGBTQ issues; gender identity; and diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI).
In response, several organizations including the American Public Health Association (APHA), the American Civil Liberties Union, Ibis Reproductive Health and others sued to reverse the directives.
“The ideologically motivated directives to terminate grants alleged to constitute DEI, ‘gender ideology,’ or other forbidden topics were, in fact, arbitrary and capricious, and have now been ruled unlawful,” said Peter G. Lurie, president of the Center for Science in the Public Interest and a plaintiff in the case.

It’s not law yet. In view of the suffering it will bring on the poor, work and pray for it’s defeat in the House.

TRUMP SHRINKS JOB MARKET

Private-sector employers cut 33,000 jobs in June, the first monthly decline in more than two years, according to the ADP National Employment Report released Wednesday.

The latest report comes as a surprise to economists who had anticipated a gain of about 100,000 jobs last month.

Alligator Alcatraz is a violation of environment and ecosystem rights and damaging to the environment and wetlands.

Some of the commenters said that the protesters are “Pro-Palestian” as if its somehow a bad thing to support Palestine. Just to give you a gauge of how unhinged these people are. Its like complaining that the protestors are good people.

Yes. Look at the strategies influencers use. Are they divide-and-conquer or unite-and-elevate? Choose the latter.

Meanwhile, this week, the State Department and the Pentagon approved a $510 million sale of bomb guidance kits to Israel. The sale comes as The Guardian reported Israel used a U.S.-made 500-pound bomb when it attacked a crowded beachfront cafe in Gaza on Monday, killing dozens of Palestinians, including children celebrating a birthday.

SUPREME COURT ALLOWS CRUEL AND UNUSUAL PUNISHMENT

The Supreme Court on Thursday allowed the government to deport eight men who have spent more than a month held under guard on an American military base on Djibouti to South Sudan, granting a request from the Trump administration.

An administration official said it would promptly send the men, who hail from countries around the world, to the war-torn nation. Neither the United States nor South Sudan has said what will happen to the men on their arrival.

In dissent, Justice Sonia Sotomayor, joined by Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, said the ruling could have grave consequences.

“What the government wants to do, concretely,” Justice Sotomayor wrote, “is send the eight noncitizens it illegally removed from the United States from Djibouti to South Sudan, where they will be turned over to the local authorities without regard for the likelihood that they will face torture or death.” Source: New York Times

MUSK STARTS NEW POLITICAL PARTY

The Resistance’s richest man, Elon Musk, said on Saturday that he would create a new political party, an enormous and challenging undertaking that would test the billionaire’s newfound influence on American politics.

“When it comes to bankrupting our country with waste & graft, we live in a one-party system, not a democracy,” Musk wrote on X, his social media website, on Saturday. “Today, the America Party is formed to give you back your freedom.”

Such facilities may well help to deter criminal activities.. the whole world could do with that right now.

Global criminal gangs plodding around the world, are at an all-time high.

Yes there are criminal activities out there. What’s worse is a criminal president with the most powerful military in the world. What’s worse than that is when that criminal president is a greedy, stupid, deluded liar. What’s worse than that is when the highest court and the congress is controlled by his stooges.

The Criminal and Chief’s masked thugs are pulling construction workers and farm workers off of jobs where they’re doing productive work for society to put them in cages in an alligator infested swamp. And that’s the tip of a very large ice berg. No they are not making the world a safer or better place.

..so there are no criminal gangs and people-traffickers etc. to speak of whatsoever?

Crimes rates are up, but there are no criminals..

I didn’t say that. Think of an amoral, power mad gang leader with nuclear weapons and an army and an air force and a navy and missiles and a police force, and a paramilitary with the most lethal weapons and a huge cadre of attack lawyers. Now who is more dangerous that gang or the punks on the street?

.
For reference’s sake, what do you think of the last few Presidents prior to Trump?

What did they do that you admire?
