I agree in principle. In fact I’m thinking of relabeling who the enemy is. Socialism is such a broad term technically. I will try to refer to them as big government socialists from now on. Even under this term, we have be big government socialists since the 1930’s when the b.g. socialists made a pact with the theocrats: “You give us Social Security and we’ll give you the War on Drugs”, both ignoring the Constitution and the need for a messy amendment debate.
His comment to Joe the Plumber was a huge clue, that and how he’s been treated since he had the temerity to ask such a question.
There’s another alternative, libertarianism. Small government, capitalist free market, pro-freedom. You know, freedom, that thing we’ve been selling via our votes since the '30’s for some date-stamped security. Imagine.
