The Situational Reality Theory

Situational Reality a.k.a. God plays favorites and has an awesome sense of humor a.k.a. ‘intelligent’ cheaters get fucked in the ass a.k.a. [Life, the giant MMO experience[/b]

Okay, say that you have a shitload of cool stuff you want to share with people; a lot of mind-bending secrets to the universe. Would you share them with your friends? Of course you would unless you’ve learned some harsh lessons. Let’s say for the sake of the theory that all of the secrets to the universe were shared with everybody in the youth of their species progression; kind of like cheat codes for video games. Imagine doing a little dance and jumping into the air only to have a tank appear right in front of you (Grand Theft Auto); that would be pretty badass, right? Sure, drive a tank down the road and have a little joy-ride, but then you have to account for all of the people you displace in the process; people who would otherwise be going about their day either unknowing or uncaring about the secrets of the universe. At that point, situational reality; in example; would not let just anyone do that little dance to get a free tank.

Imagine life as a MMO (Massively Multiplayer Online game) for a second. In alpha and beta testing, there are a ton of bugs that have yet to get smoothed out and certain ones may be left in toward completion of the alpha and beta stages of production to be dealt with later in open-testing. What they fail to tell you is that the game itself is constantly in the alpha and beta stages of testing even once opened to the public as they’re still testing every part of the game and issuing out patches to make the game better, to tighten up security, bugs, etc., so an awesome cheat or glitch you take advantage of during one patch may be completely gone the next for having been fixed. That’s not to state that it never existed, but that it only existed until something was changed and could exist again under the right conditions.

Under this context, a man in an earlier age of the world may very well have been able to walk on water whereas anyone else who tried may have gotten a bit wet. Under the situational reality theory, a man in the modern age might be able to walk on water, but under very limited confines given the amount of people who might abuse such a ‘glitch’ in life, if such can readily assumed to be a glitch and not a part of the awesome product. If people weren’t set to abuse such ‘glitches’ in reality for their own personal power struggles or delusions of grandeur then it might be stated that we could do much more than just walk on water and similarly are set-back due to so many others abusing the glitches. Reality gets patched up to account for the game-breaking that certain players might cause.

This is actually a pretty sound practice given that abusing glitches in MMO’s actually causes the game to crash and for the developers to work overtime to get it back up for their consumers. You could theoretically state that without people abusing glitches to such an extent, that more would be left in for the fun of the consumer since there would be no fear of breaking the game. People who do speed runs and game-breaking in general can tell you just how many glitches exist in a simple game like legend of zelda ocarina of time; more than you would think because you don’t think to stand in one place, face a wall; side-step one way and then the other, back-flip into a somersault, etc. that glitches you to another part of the game ahead of schedule.

The fact is that even in the tightest of programming, there are those little unintentional ‘glitches’ and bugs that even the best programming can’t smooth or iron out. If you take a look at the movie Tron, it goes so far as to suggest that those glitches are actually living entities and they very well might be; independent of us and able to act on their own through the computer programming itself; something that simple coding can’t account for; coding itself still being a developing theory itself that these developers are pursuing and see what comes of it in direct results. But, they try to direct the flow of coding to their design, which coincides with this theory to state that while following their own agendas and abusing powers and secrets given of the universe might actually upset the glitches or actual worlds that are created through the programming and coding along with the various imagery designed by others on the same project.

Which leads to my next theory about our world being the center of all worlds, all alternate realities and all of time and space itself. It is my theory that when connecting to the internet or reading a book or playing a game or watching a movie, that we’re doing much more than those things. The more time we give to these things, the more focus and attention, the more wrapped up in those things we become; the more of a presence we can assert on those worlds, changing even the products we enjoy right in front of our own eyes. This is a rather broad theory that I’m beginning to refine; this entire thread; so excuse the looseness of it as I feel it out and try to piece it together.

At death, it is possible that we only die in one reality and our consciousness then snaps to the next closest reality that has us still living. This is not to say reincarnation is not possible as the end of our life time would still be the end of our life time and our consciousness then could rebound anywhere, perhaps even to a lord of the rings world where you are caught up in middle age swords and shields and fantasy magic. If someone were to change the past and the future changed to suit it, would you even know it right off the bat? Say that someone went through and prevented Hitler from committing mass genocide and made him into a good guy, but since so many of us are preconditioned to what we know, nothing really changed for us at all while the entire world may have changed back during the holocaust. It would state that our memories are still functional as is, since the butterfly effect as shown in the movie The Butterfly Effect, changes awarenesses yet memories stay the same. Even if memories did change, you would possibly find your self in a world where nothing made sense and you would be labeled as crazy.

I’ll add more to this later when I have time. Got to get ready to head out for New Years.

A lot of people anthropomorphise ‘God’.
Therefor God has love, hate, desire, amusement, etc.
So he made a universe for fun.
Isn’t that kind of degrading?

Situational reality does not denote that all of reality was made for fun, as that would be quite degrading. There would be quite a good many reasons to create a universe and reality itself. But, when you get right down to it, most of life is about entertainment in one form or another; fun in one form or another. As long as we feel ‘good’ we can call our life a success. I typed a pretty long reply to this earlier and lost it to a faulty wifi connection. Such things as that are infinitely frustrating and yet still a part of this situational reality we exist in that states that everything must happen for a reason.

I could find a lot of things to be degrading that are apparent and obvious in our current reality. I have quite the list of things I view to be degrading not just to the human species, but all of life itself; and yet you still have to view it as natural progression. Situational reality is the idea that anything can and could happen, but only at specific times and any amount of people trying to force something to happen before its time and place only frustrate, confound and confuse themselves. The fact that the entirety of our lives is spent in pursuit of entertainment; even survival becomes a sort of game after a while; is not degrading in the slightest. It gives testament to the animal nature inside us that is quite able to adapt to anything whether it is liked or not.

The whole concept of God is that of a superconsciousness; a superior being somewhere; why not a living reality which would actually fall into peoples beliefs; the superego to our ego, subconscious to our conscious; the living universe/universal mind. We are made in God’s image which is immaterial and emotional and spiritual and crafted from atoms that each hold the power of countless universes and even our radiation and pollution becomes so much universal matter that can only poison us for so long before natural evolution takes place. You want to talk about a world; a reality; created for fun, let’s talk about war and corruption of the spirit that drives people to do such cruel things. Let’s talk about our driving desire to be stronger, better, faster, smarter and how we find our selves forever bound to the emotions and everything else we try to run from, caring about the things we pretend not to care about.

let’s talk about that for a minute; how an entire world and universe and everything else could possibly be made also for fun and entertainment purposes and yet remains locked in a dismal downward spiral of negativity even as so many adapt and try to rise above it. What is the end result of evolution if not for immortality? If we could, we would hasten that evolutionary leap and bring it to us so we could live forever now instead of letting future generations have it for having earned it. We are endlessly and eternally fascinated by life, those who hang on the longest and burn the brightest. Always the interest to see what happens next regardless of the possible pain. What is the constant push of society for except to invent new technology to a. conquer our enemies, b. make our lives easier, c. to eradicate death so that even if reincarnation is possible, we won’t have to forget in between lives.

If you want to take a look at the evolution of the atom itself from simple molecules into the complex forms it becomes; cell by cell; it is a constant cycle of death and rebirth within death and rebirth within death and rebirth. Everything we do is natural to the natural order of the world; we were told we would do it, every bit of it, and we have, just because. Situational reality is the concept that certain things will only happen at certain times, much like a 24 hour clock, each hour only happens once a day. What has once existed in any form may exist again in any form including its original form. Dimensions folded in upon themselves could fold back out in some sort of perennial cycle beyond our ability to fathom bringing truth to old legends and fantasies that many deem foolish impossibilities and idiocy of heads-in-the-clouds people who just can’t keep grounded in ‘reality’

But some of the most gifted dreamers in the world can actually ‘feel’ and sense the reality around them as a vibrant thing and themselves as a part of the vibrancy. Everything we’ve done before leading up to this point in history can be seen as a desperate and mad rush into furthering our selves through whatever means necessary, knowing at some point in the past that we would not only survive every bit of it but ‘prosper’ beyond belief only to be taken out by the safeguards of nature that decimate anything that gets out of hand, viruses and plagues, etc.

We have been pushing the boundaries of everything we know in pursuit of what? Immortality. One form or another. Some people just want to live and eventually all give in to just living and trying to enjoy life and yet it is what it is. How much longer before cigarettes no longer kill people, cancer no longer destroys; until the drugs we do to get high no longer work. How much longer until the sun ceases to burn our skins and the winters cease to chill our bones for all of the radiation that has been pumped through us and all of the pollutants that should have killed us. Every bit of what we put into our bodies or we’re subjected to; every virus and plague known to man in the end and the worst of the worst to finish them off.

The idea of immortality in a material body is tempting, but what of the wear-down? Eventually, everything wears down. And yet we have stories of people who lived long ass periods of time before we had much society to boast about in the world. I like to think that without all of the negativity and fear and everything else that people might just live longer regardless of the ‘wear and tear’ of living that is actually living. The key to immortality might just be mass positive thinking and working together instead of causing the schisms we all have.

But imagine life to be like an MMO where the alpha and beta testing are already behind us and this is now open to the public and with each patch, past bugs get fixed one by one and certain glitches that people might have enjoyed no longer exist; which isn’t to say that they can’t exist with the right parameters; hence situational reality. We all get natural advantages and disadvantages in life and it’s up to each person to play to their advantages, but at the same time people tend to play too hard which leads to all of the negative feelings; or one person might take life too seriously and not notice that a joke was told for it may have been told out of time and proper placement.

What exists after we finish adapting to every bit of every negativity, fear, injustice, virus, pollutant, etc. What is there after all of this adaptation and survival of the fittest except bodies that have straight evolved out of their primary strengths and weaknesses into new strengths and weaknesses. Meaning, that old illnesses can still take them out because their bodies forgot how to account for it through long-term evolution. Or, we can look at the alligators or crocodiles to look at how long their species has been around without much adaptation that we can see. Hasn’t had much need or concern to evolve. But we humans fear and love everything. And yet chasing immortality would never immortality gain as situational reality would dictate that such has to be earned.

You’ve got to figure that out of all of the possibilities out there; out of all the possible realities; that at least one would have chosen to try being peaceful and try being aggressive enough to secure peace and to get a true established norm for behavior and discipline and bringing each person into heightened reality and awareness as gently as possible instead of the multitude of different varying stages that exist all around us in people as there is. If we had a person by person balance, we could forgo the species-wide balance of consciousness, perhaps forgo the reality consciousness and create immortality; after having done it all correctly and built our societies correctly, we might just have it unfold upon us.

But, that is the basis behind so many of our technologies: eventually, one of us is going to find a way to live forever. Whether in name, physicality, whatever. And then when you get right down to it, such a god-consciousness has already lived forever and done it all and is immortal so what is there more but a permanent binding of spirit and matter? Would that not be God’s Kingdom coming? The Ragnarok, The Apocalypse, Armageddon, doomsday, the day of judgement, etc., etc. that so many people fear.

Whether we seek to do it or not, we will do it eventually if it’s possible. The more we try to do it, the less often we will succeed, until we learn to take it at life’s pace and do it right. This applies to just about everything. The more you chase something, the more elusive it becomes, unless it just lays there like an inanimate object. It’s a mixture of chasing, following, running ahead, letting life catch up to you occasionally and to get in the dance of things. Entertainment is the guiding force of everything; music and movies and books and video games and sports, etc. from politics to legalese to hospitals, etc.; all for entertainment of one sort or another; the hospitals being entertainment of a form for the more sick among us who fail to realize that a majority of every sickness is just willing your self to get better and not focus on the sickness so much so you can get better. You can do more healing in most cases for yourself than doctors could do for you and they are afraid of that info getting out because it could cost them their jobs and then they’d be out on their asses in this rat-race of societal kill-or-be-killed when money, too, was made for entertainment and as a means of trade to further entertainment through furthering life itself.

Is life just for entertainment? No; but even this conversation becomes like a childrens cartoon to some, as so much silliness and foolishness in the long term as the knowledge of this means absolutely nothing since having the knowledge can not guarantee a bit of it and goes over the head of a lot of people as they are caught up in whatever fancies they are caught up in in their own minds and to what emotions and everything else mix as they read this. To one it may look like pure genius while to another it would look like the rambling of a moron. Situational reality is not a plaything even if a possible form of it could exist purely for fun if we just allowed it to become that possible form.

I find it degrading that we live an age of ‘reason’ and so many of the people I run into seem to lack reason, seem to lack sense. They ask questions that mean nothing, make bold and simple statements that are somehow supposed to mean something and yet it all becomes so much trivial bullshit in the long term. I stick out and make a lasting impression and yet to what extent more or less than any other person? Could any of you partake in such a conversation without ego or concern of self to determine exactly how reality works? Could any person, myself included, by so without lies as to expose every part of our inner minds to another? Could we then examine group-consciousness and psychic powers of mindreading and connecting between minds without all of the inferior emotions of jealousy, rage, anger, base judgement instead of conscientious discernment, etc.

I find it degrading That so many people exist in the world who are ignorant of thoughts such as these which could open up large treasure troves of life for them. I find it degrading that so many people suffer from so many diseases of the mind without proper treatment, without people who properly care enough to take the risks to further scientific study of the human psyche beyond the established norms of society which says ‘stay away from the taboo subjects,’ and then you have to entertain the notion that people are lying, too; but at what is your job to ascertain truth and to ensure that someone is getting better? And yet, ascertaining the truth of what a person tells you is making the situation better since a healthy person would be more likely to be honest even if they haven’t always been healthy of the mind and yet still a healthy person may be dishonest in this day and age for what others might think of them; causing them repression of learning lessons they could share with others, causing a dysfunctional reality and species as we try to avoid the sensitive subjects instead of dealing with them openly. That is the most degrading thing in the world: to know the norms of society and just not be able to fit in for whatever reason jumps into and sticks in peoples heads. To know that there are people being born and raised by people who should not have kids while the world around those people knows better and avidly pretends that all is right since they put off a false front that becomes quite convincing the longer they stick with it.

We retard our own brains; so many of us; and you find it degrading that such an immortal being may have created this all initially for fun and enjoyment. Oh well, it’s only a passing matter and a passing age of the world.

And, what if, mind you, that immortality was reduced to such situational reality as to create only freaks of nature and nothing more; the occasional and almost random-seeming immortal that is caught up in a perenneial cycle of eclipse at such a point in time and space, simultaneously earning it through a set series of seeming coincidences as to make such an evolution entirely natural, accidental and purposeful all at the same time as creating mass chaos along balanced lines. That only one person ever, or a few people ever, could achieve such immortality and would be the natural leaders of whatever world/reality they inhabited.

You’ve said a lot.

I think pantheism is more accurate than the general Christian concept of God.

It’s true that everyone seeks the positive, most of the time.
Pleasure or anything else appealing.
