I’m guessing he got PV’d again. He may have gotten a contraband phone so he could post, but once they shake down his cell he’ll be gone again. Can you remember his original sentence? I thought it was 15 years. One more PV and he’ll have to do all of it. Charm won’t save him a third time.
I see how you’ve managed to cleverly lure me away from the philosophy section. Probably a wise choice.
Personally, I thought Magee’s example was unfortunate.
But enough about me, how have you old tickers been. How ARE your tickers? I worry.
Oh, life is a struggle, but I’m able to sit up in bed and take sustenance. The mind wanders in and out, but fortunately, discussion boards aren’t that demanding… So who have you been… I mean, what have you been doing?
Not really enough about you, sandman. Rumors have been flying around. Secret work for the government, work for the secret government, a religious conversion, a new convertible - the list goes on.
I know, I know. Always a mysterious figure, even when you’re around.
But, Faust, is there ever really enough? I mean, what’s enough? Who determines when it’s enough? How do you know when it’s enough? So many challenging questions you present me with, Faust. I need to bring my ‘A’ every time I drop in here. Glad to hear your ticker is still ticking. Are you still doing the radio gig, or did it get boring?
BLURRED!!! Are you a sight for sore eyes? How have you been. How are you handling the heat? Have you made friends? Any new hobbies? Arg, it’s so awesome to read you. Okay, I’ll slow down and let you answer. Oh, and what is this I hear about you not being able to give tent enough of a challenge?
The radio gig went away. It’s not that it was boring, but financial constraints were in play. To wit: I wasn’t getting paid and I was having trouble finding a gig to complement my radio schedule. ironically, I found such a gig, but my time slot is, naturally, occupied. I have talked to the radio guy about coming back, but that has gone nowhere. So, I may be back or I may not.
Right now, i have an entry-level job with a huge corporation. Just started. The bennies are great, but I was hoping i’d feel more like a number, a corporate slave, a drone. Hasn’t happened, yet. I can sleep in every day (I start at non) and I get every other weekend off, which is kind of novel after fifteen years in the restaurant biz.
Sangrain, you know how Faust is hard to deal with you being gone for so long. He’s been a bear to deal with in at staff meetings. You could do us all a favor and see us more often you know.
Quite well, on most days. When any humidity kicks up, I tend to be a little bit miserable. I’ve realized upon moving here that I’m very sensitive to humidity, and I f’ing hate it. The dry heat is nice, though, and it’s dry most of the time. I’m not missing Wisconsin weather.
A few. I’ve managed to keep my eyes open and weed out the bad ones, so when I say “a few”, I really mean it. Most of the people I’m around are really decent, though, many of my coworkers have gone out of their way to make me feel at home and support me whenever the homesickness starts to get overwhelming.
Not really. I’ve been writing more, just for my personal amusement, but I’m definitely enjoying getting back to that. I have been going to the movies more here than I ever did before LoL, it’s a nice activity for those days when I don’t feel like sitting at home after work.
I refuse to be baited by your last question and it’s wonderful to read you again, as well. I’ve missed you.
Well…you know tent is a whole other animal. Make sure any rings you have on your hands will slip off easily. I think I seen him with a pair of rose shears
