The Ubermensch: An Attainable and Sustainable Archetype

In health, the Ubermensch becomes Zarathustra himself. His Self a sovereign commander, his will an inexorable storm as he rules over the petty instincts of the sick and degenerate with which he associates. This state, let us call it Dionysian, is one of several but greater than all. Within it, truth reigns supreme and life rejoices as the spirit is freed from its chains. It is a solution- and once necessity finally requires it, it shall emerge like a volcano from the sea in precisely those places where the waters are most questionable.

Man is something that must be overcome … :-$

Why?

What’s the difference between Zarathustra and Jesus?

I see none on this forum. :unamused:

“Beware of so called saviors, and most precisely, beware of Zarathustra”

Let’s take it a step further and make it a Bachanalian nation

True. Esteem it too much and it will go the way of any religion; dogmatism and stupidity, until all its meaning is lost completely, and it becomes yet another crutch for the weak.

The ubermensch should be unknown, outlawed and hated. Only then will it attract the right sort of people.

“I bid thee lose me and find yourselves.” - TSZ

I second this.

Why overcome anything? ( plays devil’s advocate.)

Jesus was a pacifist religious hypocrite preaching salvation from his daddy most high while Zarathustra in comparison was a realist who taught raw individualism in that people could break the chains around them by their own hands in choosing freely the struggles that has meaning for themselves.

(Takes premise to natural conclusion)

Why continue living?

It should be our ultimate task. It should be our attempt to live with an un-condtioned mind. But the ego is a powerful force ;it over-rides the sublime calling. Conditioned minds are in bondage and incapable of proceeding to understand. Many minds are tethered to unexanined beliefs. The mind imprisons itself with its own thoughts.

Because one can. There really is no reason that one should continue to live or do anything really.

Now can you answer my question, please.

Because we can? But in the end why do anything then?

One real reason to overcome man could be moral - he’s a pathetic creature (or something along those lines).

Out of arbitrary choice. We live for our own ego’s content. Nothing more and nothing less.

Are you trying to support a reason for having morality here? How curious.

If the common interest holder is the “ego’s content” (whatever this ego is), it is surely not arbitrary. unless this ego is in a state of flux, which would disqualify it as an ego.

One of the reasons to undertake an action could be moral. Not the other way around: having moral in order to take some specific action.

The ego is the self. The self is very much arbitrary from a cosmic objective stance however subjectively in our minds we may like to think we are special.

Since the ego is another word for the self I would say we are in a constant state of flux biologically until death befallens on us.

I don’t understand.

As opposed to the Self.

Does he associate with the sick and degenerate because he is so good, and tolerant?

Is this metaphorical or do we actually have to wait for some new land masses to form?

Of course, I think Universal Enfranchisement would hasten the coming.
