Doesn’t the yearning to know … to understand … underpin at least some of the activities here in ILP?
One might argue that this “ache” … this yearning to know and understand exists in every human being … today … and since time immemorial.
The responses to this “yearning” vary across time and culture … Greek Mythology, Abrahamic Religions, Animist Belief systems and so on and so on.
It’s not the amount of ‘truth’ in each response that’s important, but, on the contrary … it’s the sheer diversity that provides the
"colour’ and ‘energy’ that will eventually lead to unity of knowledge and understanding.
