Reading through these forums I find that everyone would be able to catagorize themselves, usually as Theist, Atheist or Agnostic, but have come to their own definition of the word to describe themselves.
Anyone with a ‘friend or foe’ attitude tend to assume that all other catagories are opponants. (Thiests saying that Agnostics are a kind of athiest, and athiests saying that Agnostics are a kind of partial believer)
‘Gnosis’ meaning ‘knowing’ and ‘Agnosis’ being ‘without knowing’, would that mean that both Thiests and Athiests are Gnostics as they know what they believe or Agnostics as neither are able prove the existence or non-existence of God.
‘Atheism’ literally means ‘without Theism’
People who call themselves agnostics are ‘without theism’ but atheist is used to mean ‘against theism’ by the more bullheaded philosohers of either side.
I just find that a lack of words has been causing a lot of friction, even before the other arguments.
Apart from any arguement with the above, could anyone please tell me what some more accurate words or terms to describe the different degrees or mixes of gnostic/thiestic position, or perhaps people could try making new words

That might help you. Or it might not.
