So I was reading this article about this guy who claims that God took him to see Hell and he claims to have conversed with a famous Philosopher there that we all know… this is what he said he saw …
(I’m gonna paraphrase just to sum it up…it was long and way more eloquent.)
So he was in Hell and he was seeing a bunch of people being tortured and what not and then he bumped into this man who was like:
“Yes, it’s me I wrote Leviathan”
And then the guy was like, "Hobbes?’
And then Hobbes was like, “Yes, I was God’s foe on earth and so here I am. It turns out there is a God and so here I am for eternity, dammit!”
And then the guy was like, “Yeah you were pretty anti-Christ on earth.”
And then Hobbes was like, “Yeah I know, and everyone who comes here because of me increases my torture, not that I care about them because I don’t but I don’t like my torture being increased and for every soul that comes here because of me I am tortured worse.”
And then the guy was like, “OK, so let me ask you, did you really not believe in God when you were on earth?”
And then Hobbes was like “To be honest I wasn’t sure. But then I kept doing wrong and so I just eventually hoped that there wasn’t a God. Then I built an entire belief system that excluded him and justified my beliefs and convinced myself of it and convinced others of it. And then really hoped there wasn’t a God. And now I’m here.”
Anyway, then Hobbes was taken away to be tortured some more.
