A woman has been arrested after police investigated at least five suspected nail bombs in west London.

Bomb squad officers examined the packages that had been found by members of the public in Shepherd’s Bush and Hammersmith on Wednesday morning…

Police later confirmed no explosives were found and the incident was scaled down after the 36-year-old woman from Shepherd’s Bush later walked into Hammersmith police station claiming she had put the packages in the street as art.

She was arrested on suspicion of causing a public nuisance and is still being questioned.

Here we have a brand new law, glorifying terrorism, and this woman is getting away with being charged with ‘causing a public nuisance’. What’s the point of having ridiculous laws if you’re not going to use them?

On a brighter note it’s good to see that the BBC are still treating any murder of a black person as racially motivated whether or not there’s evidence for that tag…

Kent Chief Constable Mike Fuller was due to visit the scene of the attack on Wednesday afternoon.

He said community officers were working closely with people in the area and were liaising with ethnic support groups.

“Kent Police treats all race and hate crime extremely seriously and we are confident we will catch the people who are responsible for these stabbings,” he said.

As for the incident in Shepherd’s Bush, I imagine this lady is going to be in quite a bit of trouble.

Anyways, so exactly what is the racial motivation? What precursory words were used, that explain away random attack by known felons?
Didn’t the story say a “29 year old white man” was also stabbed? Is there no connection between the black child and the white man?

Seems rather shoddy reporting at best, bordering on just non-sensical.

The PM’s spokesman said Mr Prescott had not offered to resign, nor had he abused his position by having an affair with a civil servant.

Ahem, nothing involving any “position” with this individual could be considered “civil” although, by definition, “servile” might pass.
