to sophia, my godess

i’ve been in love with you, from day one, my dear,

yes, my dear,

from day one,

you entered my heart

with a glow,

a glow which surrounds you still.

on day 27 you approached me,

my dear, you asked me to help you with all that math,

on day 28, it became apparent, my dear,

you did not need my help with all that math,

on day 29, as we sat,

our knees,

touched upon another for a moment,

my knee, never wanting to part,

on day four hundred and six,

i saw you laughing with another,

i walked on by, saying nothing,

on day, four hundred and thirty five,

you entered my class once more,

immediatly smiling at he who washed up on your shore,

you yelled HELLO

though you spoke it softly,

on day four hundred and thirty five,

you once more, magnetically sat

an isle

apart,

32 days later,

we stood alone in a group,

my eyes, never wanting to part,

four days later, history over,

we stood under the red moon,

you were wearing all white,

five hundred and forty six seconds later, i did not ask your #

so five hundred and forty seven seconds later, you said

six seven six four six four six eight six eight,

forty nine days later,

i gave you a ring,

we spoke without pause, but,

your voice, dull,

my voice, dull,

my ear, never wanting to part,

on day four hundred and seventy nine,

you greeted me sofly, and sat a table away,

you showed me a picture, of you,

jumping out of a plane,

your cheeks, were blown back by the wind,

a few pimples, flying here and there,

so, smiling, i sat looking into your eyes,

trying hard to find my way inside,

FIVE HUNDRED AND FORTY DAYS LATER,

i walked down the steps, without my glasses,

i saw a glowing form below,

naturally, i smiled,

as my heart bled some more,

you told me you were graduating,

saddened to leave this place behind,

i told you that i was going where you were going,

but lagging a hundred and seventy days behind,

my eyes said don’t worry,

you were going to a beautiful campus,

and when this poem arrives in your hands,

a h u n d r e d a n d e i g h t y d a y s from now,

your heart will know, that i was right, after all,

THAT was beautiful!!!

Yes, it was beautiful…I enjoyed the consistent “numeric flow”.

 thanks.
