Tools to change the world, by tools I mean subjects, degree’s, skill-sets, the mind, etc.
What skill sets should be acquired to change the world for the positive? What college majors/degree’s, what would have the most influence? What do you guys think?
The transcendence of humanity through a certain acquired set of skills/tools. Something or someone of such influence that will gain many ears and eyes.
Degrees and acquired skills are nice but they don’t matter as much as character. The most important discipline is the discipline of the self. Your potential will be defined by the speed and power of your spirit. Live well.
Well people don’t often listen to the man who flips burgers, they often listen to the man in the suit, fancy degree, etc.
Educator. Educators worldwide need to have a common moral ethical education. Abilities to care for their students.
Educators spend almost as much time with children as the parents do or more.
Shouldn’t they be educated to be great influencers? Children are where changes hit

I agree to a point but, they must have some teaching about what to think. Common ethics for example.
Influenced. Not really taught. If they do something bad you tell them no, but then again how would they know to do something bad from the beginning? Influence from observance, hearing, etc.
Thats a very fine line between the two words teach and influence. Influence is a form of educating another.
No, the teacher teaches you how to do math. He doesn’t effect you in a way you want to learn it your own way or want to learn it on your own at all. I wonder why children think math and science is boring.
Just like you can have an effect on a child to respect others, have good ethics, etc. A child is like a piece of clay, you can let it mold itself or you can mold it into what you want.
Interesting that influence is not mentioned as a synonym of effect.

You get an instructor that influences you to love or hate a subject then it is said you learned to love or hate it.
A teacher can just dole out information as a robot and yea, such a thing would give an effect of the subject being boring. Students learn to be bored thanks to the way the teacher behaved.
As I said there is a difference but a fine line separates it.
Influence is teaching an attitude or behavior. The end attitude or behavior is the effect of the influence.
Most teachers teach their methods, rather than inspiring them to do it their own method.
It’s not always teaching. They learn but it does not mean it is teaching. I am sure some parents don’t want to teach their children to lie, be violent, etc. But influence rubs off and they adopt it. They learn it, but does not mean it was intentionally taught to them.
Influencing doesn’t need intentional instruction. Children may or may not adopt it on their own. This wouldn’t be instructing them.

Yes, teachers right now teach approved methods only and do not encourage change. But, my reply to the question in the OP is saying change that. Change the influence.
Oh, I agree with that. Which was what I meant when I said, they need to be taught how to think rather than what to think. 
You need both how and what. If you are not given what, then you will spend alot of time discovering the multiplication table when you could be adding to it or tweaking it.
The basics aren’t what matter, the teaching them a one way method of doing such does.
Transcendence is the key. The painful bypass of the imminent. how we forget how soon, the tool with which to effect this. Then besets the panick, of how to regain it, but alas, too late.
Part of what is wrong with school is that children are being taught to think like their teachers, so that they’ll learn the damned material in the way that’s most recognizable to an instructor. Children learn less the importance of learning and more how to please.

A class room full of 30 students with one teacher, you will have that teacher who molds the 30 students into a way of doing methods similar or exact to the teachers own way. Rather than letting each one do it their own method of which will also peak their interest/wonder more so than being dominantly taught.
This is conformity and it delays our natural advancement process because it comes down to a million people walking the same path, instead of a million different paths being walked. You tell me, what way would cover more ground? It’s obvious that a million different paths would. The one same path being tread will lead to the same things being seen by everyone. A million different paths being tread will be open to TONS of discovery, TONS! A lot of new things.
