Would it be possible to try and make sure that new threads are not just one line questions? The reason I ask is that without any content other than a question the end is philosophically completely open, and the ensuing discussion is just going to be messy.
If you have a question like ‘Why do we exist’ why not ask it in several paragraphs expressing your own opinion first and also laying down some restrictions on what you want for answers. i.e. I wouldn’t want a million reply’s that were the same, as that is worse than reading the sunday newspapers. Seemingly pointless stories, quotations, etc are useless without some philosophical content. Maybe you even have to make it obvious for the less intelligent among us (me).
Also, while we’re at it, why not title your thread descriptively? A thread called ‘Just a thought’ is simply you electing to inconvenience everyone else.
Please try to avoid starting threads with one line posts, a series of questions that lack any arguments or indeed threads where you simply state your opinion without justification.
Sorry to sound rantish.
