Wager 1.
Part 1. The average lifespan is 70 or so years.
Part 2. Life has been around for millions of years. Humans have been around for thousands.
Part 3. Recurrence, is the notion that when you die, you don’t suddenly cease to exist.
So, if you don’t believe recurrence, the weight you place on life, is approximately 1000 times less than that of someone who does.
My wager, is that if you don’t believe in recurrence, your philosophy, is 1000 times likelier to be rubbish, 1000 times more filled with fluff, 1000 times more filled with words defining words, 1000 times less likely to value life, and 1000 times likelier to believe in stupid aphomisms, and that you are 1000 times more likely to believe that human DNA and evolutionary biology is irrelevant to the human “spirit”, which you are 1000 times more likely to put on some kind of pedastal, 1000 times more likely to seperate humans as some divine entity seperate from the animal kingdom.
