From what I gather, your issue with the election is that you’re concerned about some shit going down or not going down relating to foreign policy and throwing the US into a bunch of wars and what not. That seems like a valid concern.
But besides that…what is it about Trump that appeals to you? The other day I think I boiled it down, for me, as being that he didn’t seem to have any manners. You said maybe he does because he makes deals with Chinese businessmen. I get it. You have to know how to behave as part of being savvy in business. But, even then, if we concede that he knows how to behave, how do we explain the things about his public persona that would indicate terrible manners? Why would he advocate for himself while displaying so many characteristics that people are just generally offended by? Don’t take me as meaning that Clinton is a good choice. For the first time ever, I’ve decided that I have to abstain from voting because I can’t stomach casting a vote for either one of them.
I think Clinton is lying and saying that she wants to help the poor, and I think Trump is telling the truth that he doesn’t want to help the poor.
On a semi-related note…I had a person who supports Trump scream at me the other day that “Hillary is pro-rape!”, because I asked how someone could be both savvy and ethical while using “what’s the law” instead of “what’s right and wrong” as the standard for their determination of what they ought give back to society.
I mean, if I were a billionaire, I would probably elect to do more charitable things than I think Trump or Clinton would, but more so Trump. He’s proud of his greed. That’s just tacky. Tacky is a deal breaker. It’s like iambiguous…it isn’t that I don’t want to engage him out of fear of entanglement in his little rabbit hole that he’s stuck in. It’s that he’s a snarky asshole when he copies and pastes that lazy, easy-to-solve puzzle that he can’t seem to crack.
What if you met some Syrian refugees and the woman was all oppressed but wanted to sneak out and drink alcohol and smoke cigarettes without her head gear on…then Trump got elected and she got shipped off to Mexico and sold into slavery because they had to build the wall and that was the only way they could pay for it.
A businessman would do that shit because it would be the most cost efficient way. A humanitarian would not.

I think Trump plays a weird game, and Im honesrly pretty much convinced well have a big war if Clinton is elected.
Beyond that, I have learned to trust no premonitions - I dont know what either will to domestically.
Outside, war is just evidently on the horizon now. I mean escalation of post cold war tensions into battle between superpowers.
Dont let it escape your attention please that the strategies Clinton backs are (according to me, and Ive been to these places) fully responsible for this exodus out of Iraq and Syria. I truly absolutely reject the party dualism - in US foreign affairs it does not exist.
I think Trump may represent a break with the system - somewhat… enough to downscale mobilizations against enemies capable and willing … and who stand in their right and self-defense at their own borders.
