Do you agree with me?? If you do please strengthen my argument.
If you know everything about 99%+ of people youd hate them.
95% + of people are attention craving idiots. Focusing all their thoughts on improving their social status. Ending up making themselves look like fools infront of those who are not blind.
95%+ of people only care about the now not the later.
95%+ of people have a way of escaping their problems. Some use computer games… others use crack… and other ways of hiding from their problems and having them build up.
The more we know about a person the more inclined we are to be generous with our time and understanding. There are diminishing circles of sympathy in our lives, in the largest circle is ourselves, then our closest loved ones, our friends, etc, etc, all the way down to the “other”, or the famous “them” to whom we give no sympathy, and indeed blame for many of life’s problems. If we knew the fear, loneliness, and difficulty that many people live with every day we could not hate them.
Everyone craves attention and validation. Those who are not blind have the responsibilty to recognise these behaviours as cries for validation and attention, not as them being attention craving idiots.
This is true, it is very difficult to see the long term impacts of our actions and we are trained to crave and enjoy the immediate and tangible.
Again probably true. Humans are poorly equipped to deal with the demands life places on us, and we aren’t doing ourselves any favours these days.
But the cries for validation are useless!! You have all the attention you need and yet you still come to school everyday with a different hair style or a different or peircing or w.e!!!
yes everybody does crave attention though, but certain amounts; which i beleive should be kept low. Because most people who are always talking run out of things to talk about, so they throw out things from their a**. And they never even think, they jump from person to person just conversing about useless things only increasing their already great social skills.
But that’s exactly my point… maybe they don’t have all the attention they need. Maybe they don’t get any really worthwhile attention from those they crave it from. Maybe this forces those people to turn to more attention seeking activities just so someone will truly notice them.
Yes I agree. Truth is quite dangerous. That’s probably why people can’t read minds: we’re not prepared for that yet. For instance, if you discover your kid thinks you’re nothing a fat ol’ grumpy geezer it would hurt really badly. Or if your girlfriend susses out you’d only meant to have a shag with her when you first met.
It’s not about lying, of course. But I think for two human beings to get along it’s almost mandatory not to know everything, albeit it always depends on the circumstance: an old married couple with a lifetime together can learn all secrets from each other and that’s ok, but that’s because they’ve already moved on from earlier stages. A one-month-old friendship or a two-year-old relationship perhaps couldn’t be bearing that.
But it won’t last, you have just been seduced back into the darkside…
When you see the truth about people, as in your orginal post somebody or something happens that pulls you back into the seduction as with gemty’s post…
The key here is that you live in a world that has suffering, where as love and good don’t exsit because they are deceptions of the human ego’s selfcenteredness, think about why a child has starved to death why a child dies in a car accident because of booze and why this is tolerated by society…MONEY MONEY MONEY
But in all honesty i’m going to the grave with the view that you expessed in your origanal post, because suffering exists and because anyone can tell me that they love me but that dosen’t mean they do, any love will die because it’s been mistaken for lust and it is just not possiable to see anyone’s claimed love last an enternity…
I think Gemty is right; it’s not for people to recognize the uselessness of petty squabbles, it’s for those who would to recognize their cause and figure out ways around it.
I think the cause is our political nature (the third brain) coupled with the persistent secret structures (the secret groups.) People need a good example to follow and, the ‘higher’ classes just aren’t providing it. Now they’re up to their shit in east timor. The UN is designed to facilitate secret structures.
The way around this is to be open and honest about secret structures; to make them no longer secret. Those who do this will be consciously free, those who don’t won’t.
Well, its rare that I’ve heard love and goodness described as the darkside but here goes.
Changing your ways and saving the life of the child who would have starved to death but for your donation or direct work, that’s good. Doing something to prevent the death of the child in the drunk driving accident, that’s good too.
Its better to light one small candle than to curse the darkness. (Attribution anyone?) It doesn’t matter that there’s a whole lot of darkness, it matters that you’re lighting candles.
Mulfa, anyone can tell you that they love you when they don’t, but that too doesn’t matter. Because at least one person who says it to you really will.
I think some might correspond in social squabbles because their mind is looking to block the realization that no one cares. If they become popular, or have lots of friends, they might think they are important. And, everyone wants to feel important.
