“Hey Truth, I have a question for you.”
“Yeah? I’m here.”
“What do you do when a man fears you?”
“I hide from him.”
“What if they all fear you?”
“I hide from them all.”
"Is that really true?
“Are you afraid to face it?”
In the face of fear, truth cannot be found. And yet the need for it is greater than ever.
Not true always. Sometimes, yes but many times no. Fear can and does clear the mind to the truth of survival.
Now panic is a totally different crittur, it can create idiots out of geniuses.
After sensing a threat, one seeks hope. He doesn’t seek for false hope, but true hope. In the face of hope, one embraces the associated truth. Of course in the face of hope, one tends to forgo the possibility of it being a false hope, but is still willing to embrace. Whereas, fear is about excessive, mindless avoidance and rejection. Truth is inadvertently rejected and thus hidden even when in plane sight.
In the face of fear, one neither desires to give up his remaining false hopes, his remaining false threats, nor any remaining false ideas. He is in protection mode, not wanting to give up anything unless hope is seen in giving it up. Yet true hope is given up in the face of fear (aka “terrorism”), because the true hope was in not being afraid, but being attentive and alert to all possibilities where truth and true hope could be found.
I don’t deny what you’re saying but it is also true that it is precisely within the face of fear that the truth can be found which is quite often the very source of fear itself.
The truth will set you free alright from the very illusions used to camouflage it which only works for a short time as most panaceas. Fear becomes intense when truth like hot lava flows to the surface incinerating all the mental laminations which quarantines one from precisely that. Fear strikes when truth destroys expediences which for humans often operate as detour signs away from it. “Danger! Truth Ahead”.
No, you omit levels and levels are crucial. Take spiders. If a person that fears spiders sees a tiny harmless spider, fear will rise in them. Get a large toxic spider to land on them, they will kill you in a panic just to get away from the spider, they could kill themselves. Strongest emotional rushes, cause irrational behavior. Average to weak may not to do not cause irrational reaction.
But truth, why must you hide when a man fears you?
How can you leave? As truth, you stand where you are.
Why not simply stand your ground.
Why must YOU leave?
Let him who fears you leave.
In this way, truth, when the man is ready to perceive you and to know you, he will be able to find his way back to you.
Truth, isn’t it also true, that when someone comes face to face with fear, you are revealed - you loom up in a way that is stronger than a hurricane, in a way that holds him captive?
Hold me captive, truth, even in the face of the greatest fear. I am yours to command until your most horrible and wonderful spirit shines through and then afterwards - we shall walk hand in hand together, where there is no fear but simply a merging into harmony. lol
One hides in darkness, not by running away, but by being very still and quite.
If I were to make noise, it would only serve to further the confusion and fear, altering me into something even more blindingly scary.
That was never exactly true. I can only be seen by the mind. What happens is that the heart guides the mind inconsiderately and into blindness. Due to that, one often finds himself boxed into a situation that terrifies the presumptuous heart so profoundly that the heart finally pleads even to the mind for guidance. When that occurs, the mind that could have seen me at any time, is for a very short moment set free and heard by the heart. The heart can only find me through the mind, yet listens so very little to it (as a woman, you should have some vague familiarity with that … snicker).
Love me more greatly than you fear the worst of your nightmares, and I will never, ever leave you. I am not the one who strays away. Know your heart. But I am extremely tolerant and you are always free to ignore me for sake of your passions and the loves and fears they bring. If you prefer that I be more intolerant and thus bind you more steadily, you can arrange that quite easily. I am always willing to change, for better or for worse.
