Turtle Mountain Revisited

Turtle Mountain Revisited

Pontoons of inanity
Filled the pair
Of young juvenile
Rabbits I found
While mowing the grass
My cats enjoyed
While we vacationed
Despite hitting a deer to start
At Frank Slide

They lay seperately
On the backyard lawn
One fresher than the other
I mistook for a large mushroom cap
Into the second run
Of mowing jungle,
It having rained much during our departure

Birds hit windows
At the cottage near Sandpoint
Or rocked to their heartbeat
Then expired for some reason
Under the birdseed feeder

I’m regretting my decision!"
My 9 year old son screams repeatedly
With a big smile
Having been guilted
Onto the wooden rollercoaster
By his Father

The mountain exploded
Thru deer eyes
Mounting the rise asudden
Into the nonspeeding
Ford Explorer
Through the valley
Just short of the Interpretive Centre,
For which I had slown down

What does one do with a pair of dead young rabbits?
Apparently the cats prefer catfood.
Luckily our town has excellent curb services,
Would this count as yard waste?

There are strict rules concerning Recycling.
I helped a young girl bury a bird last week,
In the corner of a raised flower bed.

Meh.

Sniff.

This is just excellent.

I agree! It really affected me. I love the hue of strangeness you brought to such familiar happenings.

Thanks so much! The bunnies have been dispatched…
