Will resume serious philosophical replies and postings Saturday afternoon. I am currently enjoying my own personal siesta of escapism at the moment in reclusion. I do that often. There is a point where thinking too much can become a hindrance.
Thinking about other thread subjects that I eventually want to create also. Might post one before the night is over.
Tonight is one of beer, movie watching, and pure escapism. I like to lose myself often sometimes.
What Movie?
I just got done watching Iron Man 3. It was fucking awful. Don’t waste your time renting it. I’ve warned everybody here. You’ve heard it here first from me.
At the moment I am about to see if an aging Arnold Swartzenegger can still decently act or not in the movie, “The Last Stand”.
I have Little desire to see Another lots of CGI things blow up film. A Little of that is fine, but it just goes on an on in these films, so I wouldn’t have gotten that one. Hell, at least with some Xmen films you have character and fights without Buildings turning into gravel. I’m nto sure S could ever act. But he could perform with a kind of almost emotionless charisma. Playing Machines was an obvious fit for his talents.
I’m looking forward to when the new, “Wolverine”, and , “Chronicles Of Riddick”, movies come out. Also looking forward to the movie, “The Purge”.
Yeah, I watch a lot of movies. I’m kinda a movie buff.
On the internet connection front, I have recently become compromised as the most easily available wifi spot in town via a government public library has blocked the IP address of my laptop computer. Thankfully, I still have my portable device with internet connection, but I am severely limited to what I can do with it and its 3inch by 3inch screen.
My only logical alternative is this wifi internet coffee cafe and its public wifi server for the use of my laptop. They have shitty coffee, and the hosts there are prudes, but it will have to do for now until an alternative internet connection can be found or created by myself.
I have some ideas what I can do, but it is going to take some time and money to initiate them especially with the time it will take just acquire the funds to make it possible. All is not lost as thankfully I have some options here.
Since I won’t be able to access my laptop until the weekends to go to this coffee internet cafe this will ultimately severely limit the number of threads I can create going fourth in the future due to the technical limitations of my portable device. Somehow I’ll manage.
I liked Iron Man 3. I felt the ‘clones vs drones’ subtext was quite imaginative for Hollywood transhumanists…
As imaginative as it was the script was horrible.
The script was horrible, but I still admired the way they overtly explained that the war on terror is a sham and that the undercurrent is the coming transhuman war. For a second sequel in a superhero movie franchise that was quite bold.
Yes, it did do that which might be the only admirable part of the movie, but when it concerns music or cinema I hate it when it becomes butchered by becoming politicized.
What do you mean by ‘politicised’?
I prefer fiction to keep its original components instead of becoming politicized.
That’s all. I go to fiction to escape reality not to bask in it.
